A Simply Amazing Evening!

What a wonderful meal Chiara prepared and shared with us during our visit to her home. We had heard about the Le Cesarine program shortly before our trip to Italy (and how fortunate we were). It really allows visitors to get away from the restaurant and tourist scene and experience an evening with local residents in their homes. Chiara and her mother welcomed us into their home in Florence's San Frediano neighborhood. They were kind, welcoming, funny, and informative. We were a little concerned about our inability to converse fluently in Italian, but the program allowed us to connect with a family that spoke very good English. We had a fun evening discussing the food, wine, and Tuscan lifestyle. For our dinner we had registered for the "From Panzanella to Grilled Pecorino" meal and thoroughly enjoyed it. The meal followed the menu provided on the Le Cesarine web page. Chiara explained each course and its preparation to us. There was plenty of food and we left completely satisfied and happily stuffed! Having spent three weeks in Italy we considered this evening as one of the highlights of our trip. If you're planning to visit Italy we heartily recommend experiencing the Le Cesarine program. Particularly, if Florence is on your itinerary, we recommend an evening with our wonderful host, Chiara! Thank you Chiara and Le Cesarine!

Cooking Italian pasta and making Tiramisu with Barbara was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. She kindly welcomed us to her beautiful home and made us feel comfortable right away, gave us interesting information about the place and found a great way of introducing us to the Italian cuisine.
