COVID-19: What's Happening?

We understand with the unparalleled events surrounding the spread of the Coronavirus, many of you are rethinking your holiday plans or even considering cancelling your upcoming trips to Italy.

It is a difficult time for everyone, and as of March 9th, the Italian government has prioritised the health of all citizens and visitors by putting in place strong measures to limit the movement of people to stop the spread of Coronavirus. Everyone is to stay at home, leaving only for strictly essential purposes and with the appropriate travel permission.

The measures are in place until 3rd April 2020, and we have therefore decided that the most responsible course of action is to cancel all bookings until that date. For us, the safety and wellbeing of our hosts and guests is paramount. Although we know this will be a disappointment for many people, it is the right thing to do in these extraordinary circumstances.

All bookings until 3rd April 2020 will be fully refunded. To all customers affected by this, we truly hope you'll re-book with us once the situation is back to normal, we would love to welcome you back soon. Anyone choosing to re-book with us when they return to Italy will receive a 20% discount.

We completely understand what it’s like to dream about a trip to Italy and imagine a lunch of fresh homemade pasta after strolling through cobbled streets under the sun, or enjoying an aperitivo on a balmy summer evening with friends. There's no need to stop dreaming - the Bella Italia you know and love will be back in no time. Our Cesarine hosts can't wait to welcome you into their homes and cook up something special together soon.

Our dedicated team is working as hard as ever, from home. We are here to help if you have any questions, so please get in touch if you need any further information. We're in constant contact with our 1000 hosts all over Italy, who will be sharing their stories directly from their homes, so make sure to follow us on Instagram and check our magazine to get the inside news on life in Italy, direct from local homes. It would be wonderful if you could show your support by following us on social media and using the hashtags #CesarineStayHome and #TheFoodMustGoOn.

We would like to thank you all for your patience at this time. Please take care and remember, we're saving a seat for you at our dinner tables.

A presto,
The Cesarine Team
