The mamme of Varenna are used to cooking using local fish from the sparkling lake and fresh produce from the rich backcountry. The local cuisine is genuine and home-made and reflects the lake, the mountains and the hills’ delights.

Learn to prepare polenta in its multiple variations or the ancient Miascia cake, made using simple stale bread. Just delicious!

Immerse yourself in a private cooking class at the Cesarina's home, learn the secrets of some typical dishes and taste the fruit of your labour accompanied by local wines.

Enjoy an Aperitivo with sparkling wine and nibbles followed by a cooking class. During the lesson the Cesarina will reveal the tricks of the trade of 3 authentic recipes (starter, pasta and dessert) and of the famous Bruschetta (/bruˈsketə/). Have fun putting your cooking skills to the test. Each participant will have a workstation equipped with utensils and all the ingredients to make the dishes.
