Flora and her husband Claudio welcomed us into their home and immediately made us feel welcome. Flora was an excellent teacher and showed us step by step how to prepare the appetizer, the main meal -we tried the Tripe, and the wonderful and unusual dessert. We participated with enthusiasm and enjoyed the flavors and experiences of every bite. Never before had we eaten these dishes and we very much enjoyed the experience. It will be a memory of our trip that will never fade away.

We found Flora and Claudio’s home just steps away from the leaning tower, which made a really fun, full day.  It was honor to be welcomed into their home and laugh our way through making beautiful fresh rolled pasta.  We enjoyed dinner with their company and was given specific instructions on where to shop for the freshest ingredients in Pisa.  Even the shop keepers we met loved Flora and her vibrance for cooking beautiful food.  It was an experience that extended beyond the few hours we had together.

Cooking Italian pasta and making Tiramisu with Barbara was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. She kindly welcomed us to her beautiful home and made us feel comfortable right away, gave us interesting information about the place and found a great way of introducing us to the Italian cuisine. Not only did we learn to make three delicious meals but Barbara made us feel so welcome, appreciated and cared for. We felt like cooks and guests at the same time.
