Where Liguria region borders with Tuscany we find La Spezia, the gem of the evocative and colourful coastline of the “Gulf of Poets” (Golfo dei Poeti). This city is close to the internationally famous Cinque Terre, whose proximity makes La Spezia even more magical.

When you walk in the narrow streets of the Old Town or along the promenade by the sea, you will be pervaded by the scents of the city’s street food and of the "cucina povera", traditional dishes that are simple, fresh and seasonal.

Imagine yourself on a terrace in front of the sea in La Spezia or in one of the cosy Cinque Terre villages, savouring delicious codfish pancakes with a glass of local wine, while chatting with a local family. This is Bella vita!
