These recipes were so straight forward that we cannot wait to try and recreate them at home. Amazing! We loved our experience with Alessandra, you can tell she has a real passion and respect for food. She asked what we wanted so we went with coniglio alla ischitana (rabbit) which is a typical dish from Ischia, and rather difficult to have in the restaurant as you often have to order it in advance. We got everything fresh from the market which was at walking distance, the wine was local and made by a friend of hers and was amazing. 

She also gave us useful tips and recommendations for the rest of our stay in ischia. We went back to the same market for cheap souvenirs and to grab stuff for a picnic a few days later.

The Cesarine host I got connected with was incredible and I will never forget the truly unique and beautiful moment The Network is super helpful and reliable: I had to move my appointment super spontaneously (my boyfriend got sick) from Monday in Agrigent (south of Sicily) to Catania (west of Sicily) on a Sunday; no problem for Cesarine. Cooking Italian pasta and making Tiramisu with Barbara was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. She kindly welcomed us to her beautiful home and made us feel comfortable right away, gave us interesting information about the place and found a great way of introducing us to the Italian cuisine. Not only did we learn to make three delicious meals but Barbara made us feel so welcome, appreciated and cared for. We felt like cooks and guests at the same time.
