Cesarine - Scent of Salento
- We had the most wonderful time cooking with Franchesca and her family! We were welcomed at their lovely villa outside of Lecce, where we got a tour of the garden before cooking some local dishes. We made pasta and had some wonderful wine, and even picked wild chicory for our dish. It was like cooking and eating with old friends. We will remember their warmth and hospitality for years to come... and of course the delicious food! A wonderful and unique experience.

"The passion for food has always been in my family's veins, but the one who really transmitted the love for simple cooking to me was my grandmother Marianna, a farmer, who took me to the fields with her to collect herbs and fruit and, in front of the fireplace, she taught me that with a little you can get exceptional dishes. I strongly wanted to move to the countryside, to have a direct relationship with nature: here I cultivate a strictly organic garden and I love to receive friends and relatives."
