The Solari – Tortona area of Milan is the place of choice for showrooms, art ateliers and art-house cinema. Here the old disused brick factories have been transformed into a “home” for art and design, thus changing the neighborhood. Known today as 'the Milan Design District', it is particularly lively and well visited during the Salone del Mobile (Milan Furniture Fair) and the Fuorisalone (Milan Design Week).
It’s here in this area, full of cultural and social events, where we meet Martina, in her cozy and colorful home.
Her passion for cooking began as a child growing up with her mother and grandmother, who were both originally from Emilia and true zdaure (homemakers)! Received by a kind Mam living in Milan, we really enjoyed a cooking class of Italian pasta and tiramisu. After cooking we tasted raviolis, tagliatelles and tiramisu we made together with good aperitifs. It was really fantastic experience.
We loved our experience at Martina’s home! We learned how to make 3 Italian dishes including ravioli and tiramisu. Martina was very accommodating and her home was lovely. This was one of the highlights of our trip! Highly recommend!
