At the home of our Cesarina Caterina you can enjoy lunch or dinner on a splendid roof terrace, with a panoramic view over the iconic red roofs of Bologna. 

Caterina welcomes us in the heart of the city, to share her passion for cooking, handed down by her grandmother when she was a child.

She loves hosting friends, Italian and foreign guests to share her culinary creativity with them. Caterina loves preparing traditional dishes, with the addition of a pinch of individuality, to end her menus with "sublime sweetness".

The Bolognese tradition with a unique touch

Our Cesarina's rich menu begins with a Bolognese tradition, the classic mortadella, passing through typical dishes revisited with a unique touch, only to end with a sublime twist in the dessert.

At the beginning Caterina proposes a mortadella mousse accompanied by freshly-baked tigelle. Every bolognese associates with the word 'tigella' family memories, festivals and village feasts. Tigella is the scent of those memories: the fragrance of freshly baked bread, of the authenticity of a just few simple ingredients, accompanied by delicious sauces and condiments. This is followed by roses of puff pastry 'au gratin' and then a second course of Parmesan flan, accompanied by seasonal vegetables.

In closing an 'Emilian institution', the zuppa inglese! A soft dessert, made up of layers of custard and chocolate with 'savoiardi' soaked in Alchermes.
