Your experience
Discover the flavors of Puglia with us! We'll learn how to prepare delicious panzerotti filled with tomato, mozzarella, and meat, or stewed turnip tops (if in season), zucchini "alla poverella", vegetables in oil, and the typical dessert "sporcamuss". After the cooking class, we'll enjoy everything we've prepared together, accompanied by a glass of wine or beer of your choice and "rosoli". All of this in an elegant hall or, weather permitting, on the beautiful terrace overlooking Bari.
I wait for you!

- Wow, what an amazing experience in Puglia! Anna treated us with classic southern Italian hospitality and a delicious meal in her home. She is very knowledgeable, kind and talented! Being in her home was a great pleasure and I would highly recommend this activity for anyone visiting Bari. We also brought our 7 month old who also enjoyed watching Anna teach us how to make pasta, and of course eating it. Thank you so much for a fantastic day, Anna!
- It was very nice
- Anna was just amazing. One on one class and selection of ingredients really helped me understand the need for quality. This was less about cooking and more about appropriately preparing fresh and delicious natural ingredients. I also learned a lot about the area and the different foods and we discussed the differences in food styles as I had travelled from Northern Italy. Anna was very knowledgeable about all Italian cuisine. Thank you so much.
- We loved Anna! She was extremely knowledgeable and patient with us- especially with my husband’s struggles and his “man hands.” -very personable, treated us like family.
- My private cooking class was amazing. Anna spoke English very well, her apartment was immaculately clean and she welcomed me as if I was a very special guest. We prepared authentic tiramisu, a salad from the south, and she taught me how to make several different types of pasta plus answered my many questions about other items. She was slow to explain and repeated the process several times to ensure I fully understood the process, while encouraging me to try making each item. We had a lovely meal together of what we preferred making this an unforgettable experience.

Cesarina from 2018Location: Bari Languages: Italian and EnglishBari has been the crossroads of a variety of cultures: Greek and Latin, Longobard and Byzantine, Norman, Roman and medieval. Each of them knew, particularly when it came to the culinary arts, how to gather and preserve knowledge and flavors. Within this mix of culture and gastronomy, we meet Cesarina Anna.
Anna welcomes her guests into her large living room. In spring and summer, she likes to greet them on the terrace to enjoy the view of the city. Her home is always open to welcoming and looking after her guest.
Anna’s passion for food and wine was born out of curiosity. "Really knowing the ingredients, sampling all the good things our vegetable gardens and harbors offer, talking with the producers themselves and understanding the work involved, putting myself out there to create the traditional dishes of our culinary culture have all helped to refine my palate"
A hobby that developed over time into a constant commitment, Anna approaches her cooking with both seriousness and professionalism, even if she’s just cooking for pure personal pleasure. She uses a careful selection of seasonal local products to prepare her meals made up of traditional dishes, but without foregoing a bit of modern reinterpretation.
