Hi from Micaela!

Taormina, located on a hill town near Mount Etna, is known for its ancient theater, which still operates today, and its breathtaking landscape. The area also boasts a nature reserve.It is here in the historic center of Taormina that we meet Cesarina Micaela. Her 1920s villa has a beautiful terrace that overlooks Mount Etna and the bay. Micaela tells us that she likes to set the table using her family’s dinnerware made of fine, locally produced ceramic. She also tells us that Sicilian gastronomy is the fruit of a fertile land, a sea rich in sea life and the variety of cultures that supplanted one another over the centuries. This is why the traditional dishes are an explosion of sublime flavors. These simple preparations call for only fresh ingredients. The taste is never boring.
