Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Your experience
Join me for a unique culinary experience that combines two cultures in one cuisine. Together we will prepare Žlikrofi, elegant Slovenian tortelli shaped like Napoleon's hat, filled with potatoes and served with roast gravy. We will then discover Strucolo in Straza, a typical Gorizia dessert: a thin pastry roll filled with butter and dried fruit, baked in a cotton dishcloth, as grandmothers used to do. At the end, we will share the meal around the table, enjoying the authentic flavors of a borderland that tells family traditions and stories.

Cesarina from 2025Location: Gorizia Languages: Italian and EnglishI have always loved cooking, but above all, I love welcoming my guests. My cuisine is influenced by two regions: Friuli Venezia Giulia, where I live, and Sardinia, the land where I was born. My dishes are often enriched by the flavors and ingredients of these two territories. I enjoy offering my guests dishes such as Toc’ in braide, a soft polenta with a cheese fondue and morchia, as well as gnocchi di susine and liptauer, two traditional dishes from Central European cuisine. At the same time, I also prepare homemade seadas and culurgiones, two Sardinian specialties.
