La découverte d'un vignoble urbain pour déguster le vin de Valpolcevera, une production très ancienne attestée par la table de bronze de 117 av. J.-C. et racontée par Stendhal qui, dans son Voyage en Italie, vante les mérites du Bianco di Coronata. L'entreprise que nous visiterons cultive 4 hectares de vignoble à Morego, zone de production du Bianco di Coronata. Les vignes sont plantées à 150 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer, sur un sol marbré et sableux, et 3 hectares à Serra Riccò, sur un sol argileux, afin de trouver les clones de la véritable Bianchetta, ce qui a demandé un travail de recherche acharné. Après la visite du vignoble, nous irons dans la cave, propriété d'une très ancienne famille génoise, où nous découvrirons les techniques de production et dégusterons le vin de Gênes accompagné de l'incontournable salami et focaccia !

: This was a wonderful experience and Claudia was a gracious host and wonderful chef. I would highly recommend her as well as the Caesarine experience. It will give you a whole new perspective on the community and culture of an area.
: My husband and I went with Claudia for the market and food tour and had a blast! We learned about some history of Genova in the surrounding area, got to visit the produce, cheese, and spice stands at the Mercato Oriental, and tasted some focaccia. Claudia also took us around the market area for some history, and we were able to see some old palaces and stonework. She also went out of her way to recommend various enotecas where we can buy wine. We’d highly recommend a tour with Claudia!

: Claudia was great. She started by explaining a bit of Genova’s history and introducing me to the historic shops (botteghe) that have been around for 70-200 years selling the same type of merchandise or belonging to generations of the same family. We sampled various types of focaccia and then hit the Oriental Market. The produce and fruit were beautifully arranged. As Claudia explained what some of them were, she would suggest ways of cooking and eating them—it made me want to stay in Genova to sample everything. She even introduced me to some local wine that went perfectly with focaccia. Don’t miss Claudia when you come to Genova!
: My wife and I had a fantastic walking tour of Genoa with Claudia. The tour included many historical sites as well as some local food hot spots.

J'adore préparer les plats typiques de ma merveilleuse région. Des trenette au pesto génois au lapin à la ligure, en passant par les bruschette aux tomates fraîches du potager et les spaghetti aux palourdes. Parmi les autres plats, je propose des tartes salées, des omelettes aux légumes du potager et de la ratatouille. Le tout est accompagné d'excellents vins locaux, dont j'aime raconter l'histoire, car je suis également sommelière.
