- Very authentic experience. We had great conversation, wine, and pesto! My kids had the most fun helping Ivan make the pesto and gnocchi. Beautiful home and beautiful family!
- Words cannot describe how amazing our time with Ivan truly was. The food, wine, and hands on cooking was the experience of a lifetime for me and my family. The greatest thing however was Ivan’s warm personality, kindness, and him being a man who values his family and guests. The pesto was out of this world and overall it was stellar! Thank you again!!
- An amazing experience! Ivan and his family were amazing hosts. We learned how to make pesto traditionally and gnocchi as well. He has everyone engaged in helping make the dishes and then treated us to a beautiful lunch on his home in the garden area. There were 4 courses total, each was exceptional. What a wonderful experience sharing a meal with folks from around the world and having someone open their home for us to experience. I cannot recommend this enough - a must do if you are near Rapallo area!
- My husband and I had an unforgettable afternoon at Ivan’s pesto-making class. We were welcomed into his beautiful home like old friends, and really enjoyed getting to know Ivan and his family. The class extended beyond pesto to include a delicious array of local dishes, each more delicious than the last, and we even got to try a homemade type of limoncello made from oranges in Ivan’s garden. The genuine conversations and shared stories offered a glimpse into the local lifestyle. I highly recommend this experience for anyone looking to savor authentic Ligurian flavors and hospitality. Thank you so much, Ivan, for your hospitality and for sharing your love of cooking with us!
- Fantastic! Do not miss the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful experience with Ivan! We were so fortunate to spend an afternoon with Ivan and his friend Carla, as well as his wife Paola, and son Federico. Ivan showed us how to prepare several Ligurian dishes in their gorgeous 15th century home, which we enjoyed for lunch with some delightful wine from sommelier Paola’s beautiful Enoteca “Monna Bianca”. (Also very much worth a visit!) Highly recommend. We will return to Ivan for another experience on our next trip to Italy!
