„Ich werde meine Gäste in der alten Masseria auf dem Land empfangen, umgeben von jahrhundertealten Olivenbäumen, in einzigartiger Lage am Fuße der Hügel der Selva di Fasano, mit einem bezaubernden Blick auf die Olivenhaine, die bis zum Meer reichen. Wir werden gemeinsam Gemüse aus unserem Garten ernten und dann die typischen Gerichte der Familientradition zubereiten.“

Maria and Sarah were wonderful hosts and teachers. We had a terrific family experience and enjoyed learning more about the local culture. We booked unsure what to expect but the evening was a delight. I highly recommend this experience if visiting the Puglia area. It was like cooking with old friends.

If I could give Maria 10 stars I would. Maria and Vitania were magnificent hosts. We learned how to make panzerotti then enjoyed eating them together, with her wine, and various aperitifs. We felt luke we were long time friends annoying a meal at her gorgeous home in Fasano. Thank you ladies for providing us with a top highlight of our 25 day Italy trip.

I and my sisters loved our cooking class with Maria. The menu was excellent, based on local delicacies and providing dishes that were unusual (for us, the non-Italians) but not difficult to reproduce. We booked it as a birthday present for my sister who is a great cook, and she loved it. And those of us who are not so good at cooking also found recipes we are going to make again. We cooked courgette flowers, shallot ‘flowers’, polpette, pasta with rape, and sugared almonds, and also snacked on Maria’s olives, foccacia barese, tomato bruschetta with spicy ricotta, and homemade limoncello and walnut liqueur. Lunch in the garden with Maria, and Vitania her super translator, was just gorgeous. Thank you both for a wonderful taste of Puglia!

We had such an amazing experience with Maria! The Masseria is beautiful and we got to learn a bit about the local history and traditions. It was a lot of fun to learn all the recipes (the orecchiette technique was harder than I thought though!). We made two starters, one pasta dish and some sweet almonds for dessert, and all of them were delicious! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes food and to wishes to learn more about Puglia!
