Discover Tuscany through a unique culinary experience, where I await you to share fun moments in our family kitchen, learning simple and delicious recipes from the local tradition.

I live in a place with many facets: thermal waters, sea, hills, and countryside—everything is possible here. I am a kindergarten teacher and had the fortune to grow up surrounded by nature with all generations of my family in the countryside. With Tuscan grandparents and Abruzzese grandparents, I have a fantastic mix of influences.

: Our evening with Ilaria surpassed all expectations. From the first moments, she expressed joy, generosity, and warmth--inviting us into her home with a flourish. As we chopped freshly-picked veggies in her kitchen, her young neighbor friend, Martina, helped with translation. We drank Ilaria's homemade spritzers while eating her incredible appetizers. Martina's dad showed up with amazing wines, and we launched into the making of pasta, from scratch, and Ilaria just made everything so easy. She's a teacher by trade, so her passion for cooking is well matched by her ability to help us learn. What fun we all had! Laughter and friendship spilled into the making of the dessert, and then we all sat down to a lively dinner. With the arrival of Martina's mom, Ilaria pulled up another chair and it felt like family. Delicious food, rich conversation, and great wine, long into the evening: one of our favorite nights in Italy! This is a must-do for anyone visiting the area who wants a taste of true Tuscany!

We enjoyed a lovely evening with her and her neighbours and felt like being part of a real Italian family. : A lovely experience cooking and consuming a beautiful meal with a gracious host on Ilaria’s terrace. Beautiful meat sauce local style and home made pappardelle. A lovely family desert (a twist on Tiramisu). It was a lovely connection to her family traditions - her Nonna’s recipes and even a vin santo and biscotti using her Nonna’s shot glasses. We are English speakers and the use of translation apps worked quite well. Thank you to Ilaria and her friend Julia. We will return next year when we revisit Toscana.

Healthy, organic and zero km food and, as far as possible, I use food of my own production such as oil, eggs and vegetables from the garden.
