Hi from Alessia!

Alessia, our Cesarina Valdostana doc, welcomes her guests in an old house she has renovated, located in a mountain village, Gignod, which is located in the Grand San Bernardo valley, a few minutes from Aosta. "I love poor cuisine, especially traditional cuisine. I am a simple person and I live the life marked by the seasons between work in the vineyard and in the mountains. I'm waiting for you for a dip in the past and in tradition!"

We have had the best time cooking pasta and tiramisu in Alessia's beautiful home! It was authentic, kind, full of joy, and generous. The food was incredible, and it was so interesting to learn about the culture, traditions, do's and don'ts. She has a real passion, and that makes for an amazing experience. Every food was carefully selected and we learned about their origins. We learned a lot! I can't recommend it enough, and I will definitely be back when I have friends visiting Italy. We did pasta and tiramisu, but I definitely will do the favo soup next time!

Our group of 3 adults had a great experience spending the evening learning about Cesarine cuisine and culture! Alessia warmly welcomed us & it reminded me of visiting distant family - after a few minutes of getting to know each other & figuring out each other’s comfort levels in the kitchen, the conversations and cooking tips flowed with much kindness & laughter. We learned several Cesarine recipes and Alessia’s passion for cooking & Cesarine heritage highlighted our evening! We had rainy weather so couldn’t sit outside to enjoy more of the amazing views of the valley, but this did not detract from our night. We sat at Alessia’s dining room table spending a lot of time hearing about & enjoying the foods of the region & hearing more about the beautiful region! We definitely got our money’s worth & the night was one of the highlights of our 5 days visiting Aosta Valley!

Alessia was a wonderful host. The food was delicious and she told me about the local customs and traditions. She made me feel like home. I highly recommend this experience to all the people who want to find out more about the food and culture of Valle d'Aosta.

With a very warm welcome, we experienced the “pasta & tiramisu lovers”. The secrets of making your one pasta, the traditional way. Also the tiramisu was a great success. Alessia is made for this “job”, she takes al the time and makes you feel comfortable. She shares her own house, tells you everything about the Italian way of live (and cooking). It was a superb experience, grazie mille Alessia. A strong recommandation for those who are stil in a doubt…
