Hi from Elena!

"Although my cuisine is traditional, I like to offer family and friends also renewed traditional family dishes such as risotto pulled with parmesan crust broth and embellished with balsamic vinegar, tortellini instead I prepare them with a traditional recipe in capon broth . Homemade breads amuse me a lot but also the vegetable voulevant that my grandmothers used to make I do well. The meat deserves a separate discussion because it varies a lot from the more traditional to game. To conclude the desserts, pies, strudels and cakes by the spoon are the ones I prepare most often. Finally, I like to combine my dishes with the most suitable waters, being hydrosomellier ".

The cooking class with Elena was so much fun! I took the class with my family (all adults) as we were traveling together for my parents' anniversary. We all had varying levels of cooking experience but everyone enjoyed it. Elena is very talented- she showed us some great techniques and tips. It was great to prepare and taste some traditional Modenese foods, and we felt welcome in Elena's home. She shared some of her family's delicious balsamic vinegar with us and we got to learn about local traditions in the area. I would definitely recommend Elena and her class in Modena!

What a delightful experience with Elena. Her home is beautiful and with only 2 couples we had a wonderful time at the market and then preparing the dessert and pasta. The farmer's market was fun and she taught us many things about cheese, locals and introduced us to a wonderful vendor to discuss balsamic vinegar. We purchased some extra fruit, cheese and chocolate to add to our meal. Elena selected a local wine which was just right for the meal. Thank you Elena for a really nice experience.

Elena was an excellent guide. It was wonderful to learn pasta making and get an idea of her slice of life in Modena.

Absolutely amazing experience. Elena was so fantastic, welcoming, funny and knowledgeable (of course). We made risotto, tortellina, and sour cherry pie with a tasting of family balsamic vinegars on regiano cheese. All delicious. Beautiful home. Strongly recommend. Please thank Elena.

Our host Elena was great she was patient and funny. She opened her home to us we met her family and her dogs. We were also very fortunate to taste balsamic vinegar that has been in their family for many generations. Our group highly recommends Elena’s class. Just make sure you get the apartment number as well as the street address.
