Hi from Raffaella!

Raffaella's house is located near the center of Modena, where the historic Via Giardini begins, that since 1781 connects Modena and Lucca, crossing the Apennines. The environment in which Raffaella receives guests is an art nouveau house in which our Cesarina has carefully and lovingly preserved family objects and furnishings. With similar feelings, Raffaella, who beyond the passion for cooking also cultivates the one for foreing languages, English and German in particular, welcomes friends and guests, pampering them with the aromas and flavors of her dishes.

We has a wonderful time learning to make tortelli, tigelle and tiramisu with Raffaella. She was very knowledgeable and made things very simple to understand. She was incredibly kind and generous and made sure we did not rush through the lesson or the meal afterwards. We really appreciated her giving her time and her home to teach the lesson. We would recommend that anyone book a class with Raffaella.

It was an incredible experience! We definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to learn to cook traditional modenese cuisine. My wife and I had a wonderful time with Raffaella. Besides cooking three traditional and very delicious dishes of our choice (tortelli with ricotta and spinach, tortellini with broth and tiramisu), we had good talks and learnt also some "secrets" about other modenese dishes like ragout. When we are in Modena again, we would do it once again.

We had a wonderful cooking class with Rafaela! My family of four loved every minute of it. She contacted us the day before to ask about preferences for what we would like to learn to make. We said local cuisine and tortellini. She exceeded our expectations. She was very informative about local cuisine and culture and talked us through the recipes and process. The only challenge was we were there during very hot weather and there was no air conditioning, but we still enjoyed the evening. We highly recommend this experience.
