Your experience
We propose a dinner rediscovering the festive table, typical of our countryside. Ciauscolo, Fabriano salami and hand-cut ham as appetizers. Free-range chicken and cockerel for the classic ragout with "giblets," and rabbit, the prince of Marche's earthy cuisine, prepared in porchetta (with pork rinds, fennel and olives). The rabbit is accompanied by "grugni straginati," or field herbs repassed in a pan with lard and garlic. To finish, apples and pears from the garden trees, baked the former with sugar and Verdicchio, stewed in a pan with Lacrima di Morro d'Alba the latter and accompanied by Nonna Giannetta's warm cream. An aperitif with prosecco and crostini will be served in the living room at the opening of the evening.

Giovanni e Maria Jole
Cesarina from 2023Location: Iesi Languages: Italian, English, GermanIn our family, the kitchen has always held a significant place. With roots in both Marche on our maternal side and Tuscany on the paternal side, my siblings and I inherited a passion for cooking from Grandma Chicca and Grandma Delia, but above all, from our mother Giannetta. We received not only the love for cooking but also the family recipes, books, and even antique dishes and cookware. Even today, we gather for holidays and special occasions in the family villa in Jesi, reveling in the joy of cooking together. Our cuisine is deeply rooted in the local traditions, relying on the products from our sea and countryside. While firmly grounded in the folk gastronomic culture, our culinary approach has always carried some 'bourgeois' accents, both in preparation and presentation. Our personal stories, as children of the Marche region who have lived in various parts of Italy, have over time enriched our menus with influences from the diverse relationships we've cultivated, always centered around the table. Our home, a historic villa in the heart of Jesi, amidst the Verdicchio castles, is well-suited to welcome guests with whom we'd love to share our passion for our cuisine and our land.
