Your experience
  • Bruschetta with goat cheeses, sweet and sour onions and saffron honey
  • Pizzoccheri (a type of short tagliatelle, a flat ribbon pasta, made with buckwheat flour and wheat flour)
  • Crema del Lario (spoon dessert)

With this event, I intend to highlight local producers and promote the excellent products of my region, with a focus on Como saffron and goat cheeses from organic farms. After a short guided tour to learn about production and processing techniques, you will be hosted in my home for the preparation and tasting of dishes created with these extraordinary ingredients. Together, we will also create a spoon dessert typical of Lake Como, using fresh and delicious ingredients.

Such a wonderful experience cooking with Cristina!! My mom and I were welcomed into her lovely home and had the most pleasant time learning and cooking in Cristina’s kitchen and sharing our stories. We learned so much about new and traditional foods and ingredients and compared our “traditional Italian” dishes we both make. The food and recipes were delicious - one of our best meals on our 10day trip! It was hard to tell what was better, the food we made or the beautiful view and relaxing back yard where we had our meal. The whole family was delightful and it was such a memorable experience

The best experience we had this holiday! I made a date to learn how to make pasta but had no idea what I was getting into. When we arrived Cristina was so welcoming and festive. The experience was beyond our expectation. We had so much fun, we had apperitivo - Cristina set the most beautiful table for dinner. We didn’t want to leave. We loved getting to know Cristina and her daughter Linda. I can’t recommend this experience enough. We will never forget this wonderful evening and can’t wait to meet up with Cristina again.

Such a lovely evening at Cristinas home, she was so warm and hospitable and made the most beautiful meal for us. Highly recommend.

Cristina really went above and beyond for all her guests. She was a generous host and a wonderful teacher! We could not have enjoyed ourselves more and we can't wait to try recreating her recipes at home. Thank you SO much! I will suggest that you be sure to make arrangements before hand to get to her place. The taxi service in Lake Como was difficult and if we'd planned ahead it may have been easier.

My 21 and 23 year old sons and me had a wonderful time learning to make tagliatelle, ravioli and tiramisu with Cristina. It was such a treat to be in her warm and well organized kitchen in her home and to learn about her local farms and specialties. She was very informative and we all had fun participating in the cooking. Then we enjoyed our creations at a lovely table in her garden with her beautiful family. It was such a special day for us, a real highlight of our 10 days in Italy. Cristina is warm and welcoming and I highly recommend her class to anyone wanting an authentic and special cooking experience.

"My passion for cooking dates back to the times when as a child I liked to observe my mother kneading the shortcrust pastry with such care and my father who had a particular fondness for homemade pasta. I remember dinners with friends on Saturday evenings or family lunches on Sundays, where tagliatelle or lasagna with homemade pasta were a "must" and, finally, an exquisite jam tart could not be missing. In the family we had the legendary Aunt Cristina who was a cook in a rich Milanese family. His recipe book, handwritten with a handwriting that belongs to the past, contains many little secrets that he diligently noted down and which today are a precious heritage from which to draw on many ideas and suggestions. My cuisine is linked to traditions, but I really like to diversify and give a particular touch to the various dishes of Como and Lombardy specialties, strictly using local, organic and 0 km products".
