what a phenomenal experience! From the moment we arrived at the wonderful Palmieri home in Taviano and were greeted by Simona to the very end of the event all was nothing but spectacular! We cooked typical Salento style Italian cuisine, swapped stories with and ate with all of the family. This was an added treat! Mama Francesca, and Simona taught the class with the help of Matteo who helped translate! Everything was so fresh and had flavors that are indescribable! Ingredients were simple, but so fantastic! I could go back again and again. Not only did I learn many new cooking secrets, but I also made wonderful new friends! I just cant say enough about how much we loved this event and the whole Francesca Palmieri family! Grazie a tutti!

There is always movement in my kitchen! Being many in the family, I enjoy cooking for everyone. Since I was a child, I asked the neighbors for the oldest recipes of our ancestors. Mine is the typical local Salento cuisine: I love making homemade pasta, as well as bread, pucce, focaccia and frize.
