Ita

A stone’s throw from the Archaeological Park of Selinunte, there is the country house of an architect woman who cultivates her great passion for cooking. Ita, our Cesarina, manages to create dishes of great naturalness, originality and genuineness, served in a refined and exclusive environment in an atmosphere surrounded by greenery, where the charm of good food is mixed with family hospitality. A different and original experience that will offer guests an opportunity for a cultural and culinary exchange, with an inimitable taste.

Looking back to a wonderful evening at Ita and Fransesco, full of good Sicilian food. The experience was outstanding, we made our own pasta and cannelloni and learned a lot about the Sicilian kitchen. Afterwards we had diner together with our hosts and enjoyed all the good things we made ourselves and our great chef; Ita! With some help of google translate we had a fantastic evening. Highly recommend this unique experience!

We had a brilliant time today and can highly recommend this wonderful experience. Ita is a truly passionate chef and explains how to prepare and cook very tasty food. Francesco was also a great host and together we had a lot of fun. I will definitely be making my own pasta at home, caponata and tiramisu. Thank you both.

We are visiting Sicily from Ireland on our honeymoon. We've spent 10 incredible days on the island but without a doubt our evening with Ita and Francesco is the highlight. We were warmly welcomed into their home and straight down to the pasta making lesson. We have very little Italian but it all still worked. Francesco brought us around the garden also, showing us all the fresh ingredients that we would use - and the chickens (not included). The food was out of this world, fresh and deliciously presented. We managed to converse via Google translate, learning that Ita is an architect by trade and Francesco, a criminal defence attorney. A wonderful evening that we would have no hesitation recommending to any visitor to Sicilly. We are already planning our return to explore Castelverano and Selinunte

What an amazing experience! We truly enjoyed both the cooking workshop and sharing the delicious meal together. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making us feel at home right away. Everything was explained with great passion, which made it not only educational but also a lot of fun. Many thanks as well for the lovely photos — such a wonderful memory of a special day! Highly recommended for anyone who loves good food and an authentic experience.

We had an excellent cooking class with Ita and her husband. The food was superb, we learned a lot about how to make pasta and tiramisu and then ate a wonderful dinner with our hosts. The chef is a 'Slow Food’ advocate and as a result, everything was very healthy. My only caveat was the language barrier but we easily made it work with Google live translate. For us, it made the whole experience even more authentic. Highly recommend.
