Hi from Maria Rita!

My passion for the stove arose by chance. During a particularly stormy day, I found solace in cooking and discovered that it left me in a state of relaxation. From that day on, it was love at first sight. The essence that every food emanates, the aromas of spices and herbs I use in every recipe, or simply the scents that develop during cooking, bring me joy and well-being. This is what I aim to offer my guests, in addition to delighting their palate, of course.

We enjoyed our time with Maria. We both enjoyed making ravioli, exploring Borgo Parrini and a delicious lunch. Maria kindly spoke clearly and not too fast so we were able to enjoy conversations with her in Italian.

But the true star of the evening was the food, skillfully prepared by the hostess. The dishes I tasted were simply exceptional. The caponata, rich in flavors and Sicilian tradition, but the extraordinary dish that deserves special mention was the “couscous with meat.” The presentation was impeccable, a true pleasure for the eyes and palate… simply delicious! The combination of hand-rolled couscous made all the difference… because with the meat and local vegetables they created a perfect harmony, while the spices enhanced every single element. In summary, this dish is a culinary masterpiece that I highly recommend to anyone who wants to delight their palate. An experience I recommend and look forward to repeating!
