¡Ven a descubrir el mercado local de Matera conmigo! La experiencia comienza a las 10:00 con una visita guiada al mercado, abierto solo los días laborables y por la mañana. Juntos exploraremos los puestos de fruta, verdura y especialidades locales, donde tendrás la oportunidad de comprar los ingredientes frescos que utilizaremos en el curso de cocina que seguirá. A continuación, nos dirigiremos a mi casa, donde prepararemos juntos tres platos: un entrante, un primer plato de pasta fresca y un postre, utilizando los ingredientes recién comprados. Después de cocinar, degustaremos lo que hayamos preparado. ¡Una ocasión perfecta para descubrir los sabores de Matera y aprender las técnicas de la cocina tradicional!

My husband Jay and I took a pasta and tiramisu making class with Francesco while in Matera during our honeymoon. The cooking class was a belated birthday gift for my husband and we had been looking forward to it for months. It was absolutely one of the most meaningful experiences during our time in Puglia. Francesco is warm, welcoming, and is a fantastic teacher. The class exceeded our expectations in every way. We left feeling like Francesco wasn’t just our cooking teacher, he became our friend. Highly recommend creating incredible members by taking a cooking class with Francesco.

We scheduled a pizza and tiramisu making class while we were in matera for a couple days of our honeymoon. We showed up to Francesco’s apartment, and after 2 weeks, it is by far the highlight of our trip that has included islands in Greece, Croatia, and 5 star hotels. Francesco was a super interesting guy that cared so much about our experience and the quality of food, ingredients, and experience that we had. He picked up everything in the morning so it was fresh for us, and prepped the dough so it had time to rise for the best quality. He also gave a handful of recommendations that dramatically changed the experience we had in matera, all of them were local gems that he knows. Francesco allowed us to indulge in all of the incredible ingredients he sourced, whether it was his olive oil or local lemoncello. We had such high expectations for a “pizza and tiramisu making” class and Francesco exceeded all of those expectations. It is something we will talk about for years. Thank you Francesco! We cannot wait to come back and have another dinner with our Professor Chef, Francesco.

Our experience with Chef Francesco Linzalone was exceptional. We were warmly welcomed into Francesco’s beautiful home, where his kitchen—dubbed his "cooking lab"—was clean and highly functional. Francesco shared his philosophy of slow food and his expertise as an olive oil producer. He then guided us through slicing and dicing fresh ingredients to create two delicious pasta dishes and an exceptional tiramisu dessert. His wit and storytelling kept us entertained until it was time to taste our creations. We sat around a beautifully set table and enjoyed some of the best pasta dishes we've ever had, accompanied by Prosecco and his homemade digestive drink. We ate very well and thoroughly enjoyed Francesco’s company. Francesco even gave us a few gifts, including his incredibly delicious olive oil, and kindly drove us back to our hotel. This was an unforgettable experience that we highly recommend to any food aficionado.

«Me resulta natural guiar a amigos y huéspedes por las callejuelas de Matera y describirles los lugares y personajes de la ciudad que he conocido desde niño y donde es fácil dejarse sorprender por el aroma del pan cocido en horno de leña. Aún más bonito es descubrir la campiña de Matera con sus históricas masías a lo largo del torrente Gravina, donde crecen tenazmente olivos centenarios de los que yo mismo extraigo un aceite auténtico y fragante. La combinación de pan y aceite resume Matera. Y mucho más...».
