Today, together with Cesarina Cinzia from Merana, we’ll explore the recipe for a delicate and sophisticated dessert with an unmistakable fragrance: lavender gelato. This dessert combines the freshness and creaminess of ice cream with lavender, an aromatic flower with mildly spicy notes that makes it unique.
“Lavender has always been a constant presence in this farmhouse, and today we find it in our kitchen, in the candles we produce, and in the essences we create”.
This shows how lavender, often used to scent environments, also holds a special place in the kitchen, where it can play a supporting role as a spice or, as in this recipe, become the main star. Mediterranean cuisine loves using lavender for its distinctive aroma. This plant, which grows in our land, is often used to flavor sweets and beverages, as well as savory dishes. In lavender ice cream, its delicate fragrance pairs perfectly with the creaminess of the ice cream, creating a perfect contrast between sweetness and freshness.
