    I will welcome you into my home to share an experience that now seems a thing of the past. In days gone by, people would gather in homes and the older women – grandmothers and aunts – would share their culinary secrets with the younger women. You will take this wonderful experience home with you, having had the opportunity to prepare, from start to finish, an authentic, entirely homemade Apulian pasta dish. It will be a gift you can share with your family, friends or colleagues. During the experience, we will enjoy a typical Apulian aperitif accompanied by a fine wine; once the dish is ready, we will taste the fruits of your labour and conclude our experience with a traditional dessert from the Bari region.

    It was great experience to learn how to make cavatelli (traditional pasta barese) and tagliatelle and tiramisu with a very kind and very professional host, Monica. At the end we ate our own made dishes together as old friends! :-) Everyone should try this!

    Learning to make focaccia Barese with Monica was a wonderful experience. We have taken part in many cooking classes in Italy and look for small group hands-on involvement rather than simply watching someone prepare food. It was clear upon Monica’s warm welcome into her home that this private session would be perfect for us. It was like learning from and sitting down to dinner with friends. As our heritage is Barese, it is especially important to us to preserve traditional recipes, and we fully intend to put this learning to use at home.
