Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Caponata
  • Pasta alla Norma (traditional Sicilian pasta dish of sautéed eggplant tossed with tomato sauce and ricotta)
  • Ricotta cannoli
  • Biancomangiare (or tiramisu)

Amidst the scents of the Sicilian countryside and a majestic view of Mount Etna, we invite you to enjoy an authentic experience in our rural home: an intimate, warm and tradition-filled cooking class.

Together we will prepare some of the most iconic dishes of Sicilian cuisine: pasta alla Norma, caponata and, your choice, a dessert of either tiramisu or biancomangiare. It will not just be a lesson, but a story told through gestures, ingredients and family tales, handed down through the generations.

The setting is truly rural: surrounded by olive trees, vineyards and fruit trees, along with our animals – dogs, cats and two friendly little goats – which make the atmosphere even more lively and authentic.

All accompanied by refreshing spritzes and Etna wine, to make every moment convivial

My cooking is inspired by both ancient and modern Sicilian gastronomy, reinterpreting authentic flavors with a personal touch. In addition to traditional dishes, I often create recipes using vegan and gluten-free ingredients, offering an inclusive and genuine culinary experience. I carefully select every ingredient, sourcing my products from the weekly market, where I buy fresh farm vegetables and fruits, free-range eggs, artisanal cheeses, olives, and high-quality dried fruits. The extra virgin olive oil we use is self-produced, ensuring freshness and authenticity. Our bread comes from a local artisanal bakery that uses local flours, sourdough, and ancient grains, respecting traditional methods. To preserve and pass on the flavors of the past, I have rediscovered my great-grandmother's recipes, bringing to the table dishes that tell the story and identity of my land.
