    During the Christmas season, Abruzzo is filled with the aromas of its traditional sweets, with the Parrozzo being the undisputed star. This dessert, with its semi-spherical shape and dark chocolate coating, captures the intense flavor of bitter almonds. I am Stefania, your Cesarina, and I am delighted to invite you to my cooking class dedicated to the Parrozzo. Together, we will discover the story behind this sweet treat, which was created by Luigi D'Amico, a pastry chef from Pescara, who wanted to transform the rustic "Pan Rozzo" made of corn into a Christmas delicacy. You will learn how the dome-shaped mold recalls the shape of the bread and how, in 1919, D'Amico sent his first Parrozzo to Gabriele D'Annunzio, who was so moved that he wrote verses dedicated to this sweet marvel.

    Stefania, her Husband and son were an absolute delight. her love for her family and her love for Her guest, cooking , her expertise and knowledge shines like a brilliant bright light!! We enjoyed the wines that her husband Chose & the conversation .It was Truly, one of the highlights of Our trip to the Abrruzo.     Esperienza super consigliata! Siamo stati accolti dalla Cesarina Stefania che ci ha fatto sentire subito a nostro agio. Trasmette con molta passione le sue conoscenze riguardo le ricette tipiche della tradizione Abruzzese. Con indosso i nostri grembiuli ci siamo messi all’opera e tra chiacchiere e consigli abbiamo fatto la pasta all’uovo migliore di sempre! È stata una gran sorpresa poi conoscere suo marito, piacevole presenza durante l’esperienza che ha aggiunto quel quid in più abbinando ottimi vini ai nostri piatti.

    What an excellent experience. Stefania was very knowledgeable, courteous, and very welcoming. her instructions we easy follow. The food was excellent and we can't wait to get home and use everything we learned. She was totally professional yet very personable.     Such an amazing experience! Really could not recommended Stefania enough, she really welcomed us into her home and we had a fantastic evening. All of the food was exceptional, paired with great wines! We really enjoyed learning the recipes and will definitely be trying to recreate it all at home. I consider myself proficient in first courses, and I enjoy creating convivial moments enriched by an excellent selection of wines from my cellar!
