Tasting of traditional dishes
- Scrocchiarelle
- Certaldo onion flan
- Hamburger with Chianina meat
- Tuscan-style tiramisu with cantuccini and Vin Santo
Who said a hamburger can’t be a gourmet dish?
From my love for authenticity and genuine flavors comes the idea of a zero-kilometer Hamburger Night.
You’ll be welcomed with a poolside aperitif, featuring crispy snacks in various flavors and a delicious onion flan made with Certaldo onions.
Then, imagine a freshly baked homemade bun, filled with selected Chianina beef, served with locally roasted potatoes, homemade ketchup, and caramelized Certaldo onions — a true local gem and a Slow Food Presidia product.
All accompanied by a good glass of wine, to be enjoyed while admiring the stunning Tuscan hills, in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
To end on a sweet note: a Tuscan-style tiramisu, made with our beloved Vinsanto.

- We had the most amazing cooking class at Lara’s home in Tuscany! She welcomed us with such warmth, and learning how to make pizza in her kitchen was an unforgettable experience. Her whole family is incredibly kind and hospitable — they made us feel right at home. The class was fun, hands-on, and full of laughter. My kids absolutely loved it! It was one of the highlights of our trip. If you haven’t cooked at Lara’s house, you haven’t truly been to Tuscany. Grazie mille, Lara and family!
- This was one of the best experiences we had in Tuscany. Lara and her family were fabulous and gracious hosts. We felt we welcomed and comfortable throughout the class, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the company. It was definitely a holiday highlight for us. Anyone considering it shouldn’t think twice, just sign up. You’ll have a great time!
- We had a wonderful experience with Lara, Daniel and her family. We started off with some bread and fresh olive oil- amazing the quality of the oil- it had just been pressed yesterday. The tiramisu we made was so easy but wonderful. They taught us how to make ravioli and pici. It was an unbelievable meal! The ravioli were stuffed with local porcini mushrooms and ricotta. She cooked them in a zucchini sauce that was great! The pici was cooked with a ham and salami tomato sauce - it was delicious. We had local white and red wine with the meal - a great treat! This was a great first day in Tuscany! Would highly recommend it and the next time we are in Tuscany we will get with Lara and Daniel again- it was just a special evening with wonderful hospitality in a gorgeous setting.
- We enjoyed a beautiful meal with in a lovely home with Lara and her family. They prepared Tiramisu, Gnudi, and porcini mushroom risotto. The porcini season was in full swing and they were picked from the woods near to Lara's home. She also prepared a beautiful charcuterie board for our aperitivo. We highly recommend spending time with Lara!
- Lara was an excellent teacher and created a delightful experience for us. Her recipes are delicious, her family is kind, and her home has a beautiful view of the Tuscan hills. The food was all local and fresh. We will be recommending this experience to family and friends!
