My name is Marilena, and I am an artist of restoration: I give new life to forgotten materials and objects, transforming them into unique creations. This same passion extends to my cooking, where I honor tradition with fresh, seasonal ingredients.I live and work in the heart of Monopoli, in a historic 19th-century former monastery overlooking the Itria Valley and the sea. Here, I warmly welcome those who wish to discover the authentic flavors of our land, through seasonal vegetables, homemade fresh pasta, and seafood or meat specialties, always prepared with fresh, local ingredients.I dream of sharing my table with people from all over the world, telling the story of our culture through food. - As I sit at the end of our Italian vacation I am going over what our favorite experiences were. This class is top of our list. We knew it was going to be wonderful as soon as we were greeted by Marilena warm smile and walked into her beautiful home. She is an amazing cook! She got us all involved teaching us with patience and treating us like family. We ate, drank, laughed, learned, and just had the best time ever. We all can’t stop talking about it. Best part of our trip! She is an amazing cook and artist! We feel like we made a forever friend. XXXXXOOOO!!!
- Everything was great, making pasta, kitchen chats, cooking, eating together, laughing.
- We enjoyed a wonderful evening with Marilena and new friends. The pasta making lesson was challenging for 3 of us; with one maestro emerging (looking at you, Jordi). However, we all laughed through it. Marilena made us feel accomplished regardless of our less than desirable productivity! The wine flowed, we ate the delicious pastas, loved the tiramisú made at the table (the best I’ve ever tasted). I would highly recommend.
