Hi from Anna Clelia!

Anna Clelia’s house is in Locorotondo, where her large terrace looks out over the wonderful Itria Valley. This village, located in the Apulian hinterland, is small and pretty, full of white houses with pointed roofs. Locorotondo is in a strategic position,  just halfway to the Adriatic sea and the Ionian sea and the bucolic Apulian countryside.«My family is really big and we have always considered lunch and dinner to be moments as almost sacred». For our Cesarina, welcoming new guests into her flat and serving them local treats is a real celebration of flavours!

  •  Seasonal vegetables au gratin, stracciatella (a creamy and rich soft cheese) and capocollo martinesi (a select salami from the city of Martina Franca in Puglia)

It was a great cooking class. The dishes we made felt like a good representation of apulian cuisine, and Anna was lovely. We will definitely use the recipes learnt when we return home.

Anna C in Locorotondo was the perfect host. We had a wonderful evening learning to cook local Puglian dishes in her beautiful home. The food was delicious alongside our bottle of local red wine. Anna spoke very good English and shared cooking tips as well as information about the Puglian way of life. Thank you Anna for such a lovely evening and experience!!

My family of 5, including two teenagers had a wonderful evening with Anna. She is a skilled cook, who passed along classic recipes including one of her grandmother’s that were very good. We all left feeling like we could make the recipes, and learned tips about home made pasta and Italian cooking. Our time in Anna’s kitchen, and dining there on our food we helped prepare was a highlight of our trip. She was so much fun to chat with about the area, and Italian food and history. Recommend her highly!
