The Oleoteca di Buti is a unique venue in Italy, dedicated entirely to the culture of extra virgin olive oil. In an intimate and finely renovated setting, you can breathe in the history of Buti oil and taste dozens of extra virgin olive oils from all over Italy with their unique aromas. The experience informally illustrates the simple rules for recognising the quality of an oil, an essential element in enhancing many of our dishes! We will discover the taste and aroma of oils from different Italian regions, having fun thinking up combinations with our favourite dishes. Finally, we will taste Bruschetta and Pinzimonio: two simple dishes, but which, with the right oil, can become poetry. Good wine will also be provided. Included in the experience is a bottle of oil of your choice for each adult participant.

Our olive groves and headquarters are spread across the steep, terraced slopes of the Monti Pisani surrounding Buti, an ancient village historically devoted to olive oil production and now increasingly appreciated by lovers of slow and authentic tourism. Located in the heart of the village, the Oleoteca is a place dedicated to sharing and promoting the culture of extra virgin olive oil. Here we offer visits to a beautifully restored historic olive mill and guided tasting experiences of extra virgin olive oils from all over Italy, in a warm and charming space, carefully designed and enhanced by an antique dish cabinet.
