Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Rivotiche (thin crepes made with water and flour)

In the heart of the Abruzzo hills, between sea and mountains, November marks the beginning of the olive harvest and the first pressing of extra virgin olive oil. During this special time, housewives prepare the traditional "rivotiche," a simple and tasty recipe made with water, flour and new oil. The batter sizzles in the pan, releasing authentic scents. As soon as they are ready, the rivotiche are stuffed with typical local cured meats and served hot, rolled and accompanied by a glass of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. A taste experience that tells the soul of Abruzzo cuisine.

Amazing experience with Stefania - very warm welcome, fantastic food, and great opportunity to witness the true Abruzzo cuisine! We were by a big family with kids of different age, and thanks to hospitality and the way the course goes, everyone was engaged and comfortable. Must also note the beautiful, safe garden making it an ideal environment. And of course the food - absolutely delicious! Highly recommend - and grazie mille!

Stefania was truly amazing. The recipes she showed us how to cook were so delicious. We truly enjoyed our time with her. We would definitely take another class the next time we’re in Italy! Thank you Stefania for a lovely evening :)

An unforgettable home-cooked meal filled with genuine hospitality and exceptional local flavours. We were welcomed warmly by Stefania and her husband Marcello and treated to a delicious feast beginning with fresh antipasti made from beautiful local produce. This was followed by incredible homemade pasta, perfectly prepared and full of authentic flavor. The open-flame barbecue lamb skewers were outstanding, and to finish, the most delicious cannelloni. Every course was perfectly paired with beautiful local wines from the Abruzzo region. Stefania’s talent as a chef is truly remarkable; her passion, generosity, and skill were evident in every dish. A memorable experience we will never forget. It was the highlight of our travels throughout Italy so far.

My cuisine reflects regional traditions and features original recipes passed down from my skilled mother. From homemade pasta to pizzas, focaccias, bread, and various desserts, my repertoire is diverse. I've taken bread-making courses with a keen focus on different flours and their strength. I consider myself proficient in first courses, and I enjoy creating convivial moments enriched by an excellent selection of wines from my cellar!
