- We did the cooking class on our last day in Puglia on the morning of us flying out. Juanita gave us a private lesson on baking pastiocciotto in her lovely apartment. We’d been eating these delicious custard pastries all over Puglia and I’d never thought of ever learning how to make them myself. Although she is an expert chef/baker she was able to guide us through all the steps, made us a lovely coffee and prepared an aperitivo as we waited for the pastiocciotto to cook. They turned out so well and I’m definitely going to give it a try back home. What a great way to take home an experience of Italy /Puglia. Highly recommended ⭐️
- Juanita was an entertaining and knowledgeable host. We enjoyed her tuition and tasting the goods of our labour afterwards. It felt so special sharing her home and passion for cooking. It'll be a highlight of our trip!
- I learned so much and I can’t wait to try the recipes at home. Such a fun and authentic experience. I finally feel comfortable making my own pasta.
- Yesterday we had a cooking class with Juanita, and it was simply wonderful. Great atmosphere, we laughed a lot — even when she scolded us for not being gentle enough or for being too slow. We listened to Italian music and drank wine. It was one of the tastiest meals we had in Puglia. Highly recommended!
- Juanita We were welcomed by Anita with a warm smile and greeting. She made us feel comfortable from the minute we walked in. She kindly explained our choices for creating a traditional Baresse meal. She taught us the art of making homemade Cavatelli ( pasta )and Sporcamuss ( puff pastry). Anita continued to educate us on her knowledge of cooking and the traditions of the Puglia culture. Being Italian American the whole experience was old school Italian living… Perfectto …..🇮🇹💯
