A journey to discover some typical Ligurian and family desserts.

The Stroscia, typical of Pietrabruna, is a unique dessert made with plenty of olive oil. Auntie’s cake, that dessert that brings back memories of family celebrations, with few ingredients but plenty of flavour. Cavolini, the Sunday treats, made from choux pastry and filled with loads of whipped cream! A different take on Ligurian cuisine, which is more often remembered for its savoury dishes!

Had a wonderful dinner with Emanuela! Even though it ended up being just me, it was so much fun to learn about the regional cuisine and Emanuela is an absolutely phenomenal cook. Truly a dinner to remember!

Went there with my fiance and absoulutely loved it. The venue was private and Cesarine Emanuela hosted us showed nicely, showed how to make different pasta and authentic tiramisu which we will definitely be trying at home. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting this part of Italy.

We spent excellent dining with Emanula in Sanremo. She showed us different possibilities how to prepare pasta from Ligurie region. We tasted antipasta, foccacia, pizza typical for this region, homemade pasta with mushroom or ragu sause, wild pork with polenta, great cake with her own figue marmelade. We were absolutely full, but wines helped us. Her hospitality was very very warm. Thank you.❤️

Visiting Sanremo means deciding to treat yourself to a beach holiday, but also to discover historical and natural beauties and Italian music. It could also be an opportunity to savor the gastronomic specialties of this Ligurian city. The perfect place?! At the home of our Cesarina Emanuela. "I grew up in a family where wealth was a table laden with genuine dishes, raw materials from the garden and the countryside and, possibly, surrounded by loved ones, parents, grandparents, brothers, uncles or even friends. The door it was always open and it was easy to add a seat at the table. Ever since I was tall enough to see what was in the pots I tried to steal my mum and grandmother's secrets."
