Mara

Rimini is not only beaches and sea, but it is also a city appreciated for its places of historical and artistic interest, such as the Cinema Fulgor (dear to Fellini, the famous film director), the Castel Sismondo, the Galli Theater, the Roman ruins full of beautiful mosaics in the Domus del Chirurgo and the area around the Ponte di Tiberio. Cesarina Mara’s home is in the heart of the historical center, within the walls of an ancient monastery (Monastero di Frati Teatini). The atmosphere here is truly a pleasure. At Mara’s table, no detail is overlooked. The dishes she prepares come from the Romagnola culinary tradition, where everything is prepared using local products and the scent of the sea predominates. The recipes our Cesarina prepares are those handed down from generation to generation, hand-written in old notebooks by the women in her family, a grandmother from Romagna and the other from Puglia.
