La città di La Spezia si trova quasi al confine tra Liguria e Toscana, rappresenta il punto di partenza ideale per visitare le splendide Cinque Terre e borghi caratteristici, come Lerici e Porto Venere.  Il mare di fronte alla città e le montagne alle spalle, è affascinante ammirarla dall'alto del castello di San Giorgio e gustarla attraverso i suoi piatti: un incontro tra terra e mare, evoluzione e sperimentazione. Alla tavola di Daniela sfilano le ricette della tradizione. La nostra Cesarina propone la classica cucina spezzina: il risultato della fusione di diverse tradizioni provenienti dalle regioni confinanti. I piatti di Daniela sono realizzati con ingredienti semplici, che mischiati tra loro danno vita a sapori forti e delicati al tempo stesso: come gli 'sgabei' - la pasta per il pane lievitata, tagliata a strisce, fritta, farcita con formaggi o affettati locali, i 'muscoli' (come vengono definite le cozze) in diverse versioni e, ovviamente, un must, il pesto.

cooking with daniela was great. got a warm welcome by her and husband gianni and was invited to cook a few traditional ligurian dishes with them. the italian‘s love for food is really infectous, would also recommend for professional chefs on vacation around there as there is still always something to learn from the locals :) would definitely go there again!!

The class was great: we tried a lot of recipies, including gsabei, gnocchi, tiramisu. I also asked a lot of questions about other dishes that I have cooked and got great advice. I was glad that I took a taxi from the train station: it saved a lot of stress when reaching the class. I really appreciated the chance to talk over the food that we made, and it was very nice to see the less touristy parts of the region.

This cooking class was incredible! We had so much fun drinking vino and making Italian dishes! Daniela was great - she invited us into her lovely home and was incredibly friendly. Her generosity (along with her culinary skills) did not go unnoticed. I will be sure to make these dishes again, as they were delicious. I would highly recommend Daniela and her class to anyone looking for an authentic experience in La Spezia.

We had a lovely evening with Daniela and her husband Gianni. We learnt a lot about Ligurian food and how to make it, which was super fun. Daniela is an engaging and patient teacher, and an excellent cook. The food is delicious and there is a lot of it: you will not leave hungry! Aside from the food, Daniela and Gianni are super friendly. It was really nice to be welcomed into their home and spend some time having some drinks with them and getting to know them.

Great experience with Daniela. She and husband opened their home and we felt very welcomed. So much food, all very delicious. The red sauce was magnificent. She shared her recipes as well. Highly recommend this.
