La città di La Spezia si trova quasi al confine tra Liguria e Toscana, rappresenta il punto di partenza ideale per visitare le splendide Cinque Terre e borghi caratteristici, come Lerici e Porto Venere.  Il mare di fronte alla città e le montagne alle spalle, è affascinante ammirarla dall'alto del castello di San Giorgio e gustarla attraverso i suoi piatti: un incontro tra terra e mare, evoluzione e sperimentazione. Alla tavola di Daniela sfilano le ricette della tradizione. La nostra Cesarina propone la classica cucina spezzina: il risultato della fusione di diverse tradizioni provenienti dalle regioni confinanti. I piatti di Daniela sono realizzati con ingredienti semplici, che mischiati tra loro danno vita a sapori forti e delicati al tempo stesso: come gli 'sgabei' - la pasta per il pane lievitata, tagliata a strisce, fritta, farcita con formaggi o affettati locali, i 'muscoli' (come vengono definite le cozze) in diverse versioni e, ovviamente, un must, il pesto.

The most special evening – full of warmth, kindness, and delicious food Grazie di cuore for such a beautiful evening! From the moment we walked in, we felt like we were visiting an old friend – or a wonderfully kind, welcoming aunty. Daniella’s warmth, friendliness, and generosity made the whole experience feel personal and truly special. It wasn’t just a cooking lesson – it was an evening full of learning, connection, and amazing food. Daniella is so knowledgeable and passionate, and shares her culture in such an open, heartfelt way. It felt especially meaningful to learn Italian cooking as part of reconnecting with my roots – something I’ll always remember. Her husband joined us too, and we ended the night all sitting around the table like family, chatting and enjoying the most delicious meal. We both said afterwards that it was our favourite anniversary ever. If you’re considering booking – just do it! You’ll leave with a full heart, a full stomach, and memories you’ll treasure. Thank you again for everything – we’re so grateful. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would!

We wanted to cook with a local and not in a cooking class. We did not regret it: Daniela gave us beside some useful cooking instructions a lovely evening. It felt like visiting a friend. Thank you! Some „time-consuming“ steps of the recipes like the dough of the sgabei or the sauce/pesto for the gnoccis were prepared in advance. So you do not have to prepare the whole meal and have more time to talk and enjoy the evening.
