"La mia vita è legata al lago, è qui che ho le mie radici e dove sto bene. Sono una pittrice, il mio lavoro mi permette di gestire il tempo e la cucina è per me il mio secondo laboratorio, dove mi viene facile creare piatti anzichè quadri. I mie due figli, ormai grandi e mio marito sono stati coloro che mi hanno fatto esercitare e amare la cucina. Ospitare amici durante l'estate in giardino è stata l'occasione per capire che ricevere ospiti è un piacere e un arricchimento personale. Gli ingredienti delle mie ricette sono tutti genuini, da produttori locali:  il miele, il formaggio, il pesce, direttamente dal pescatore a Dervio, e le verdure del mio orto che mio marito cura con passione da molti anni. La nostra casa è un po' come le case di una volta, il camino e la stufa ci permettono di riscaldarci e di cucinare a legna, e devo dire che il risultato dei piatti cucinati sulla stufa legna è molto buono. Anche nel giardino abbiamo una cucina e, in estate, prepariamo, cuciniamo e mangiamo sempre all'aperto."

We has an amazing experience at the home of Patrizia on our visit to Varenna. She was such a gracious host! She demonstrated how to make fresh pasta, and shared her other cooking tips with us. We were so fortunate to have a private dinner in her lovely home. The food was delicious, and her home was warm and welcoming. It was such a unique experience. She showed us her garden, and we learned about her way of life. The evening spent with her could not have been better. It was the highlight of our trip to the Lake Como area.

Patrizia and her husband were excellent hosts during our cooking lesson in their home. We learned to make homemade pasta and delicious tiramisu traditional using local ingredients and easy-to-follow techniques. Their personal stories added a delightful touch. The best part? We can easily recreate these recipes at home. This experience was a true highlight of our trip to Lake Como.

I can't rave enough about Patrizia and Luca! We stumbled upon their cooking class while my family was visiting me in Italy, and it blew us away! Their cozy home overlooking Lake Como was the perfect setting for a pasta and tiramisù lesson, along with chats about local food and traditions. What made it so special was how genuine it felt. Heading into a tiny mountain village to cook and chat with locals is exactly the kind of Italy experience you dream of. We had a blast with Patrizia and Luca, and it's a memory we'll treasure forever. If you're ever around Lake Como, definitely check out Patrizia's class for a taste of real Italian life!

Luca & Patrizia were absolutely wonderful & so welcoming in their lovely home!! We arrived early & they we’re so accommodating on letting us go ahead & begin our class!! Everything was so much fun & made easy for us! We have 3 children ranging in age from 18-6 & each were able to be completely hands on!! The view was beautiful, food amazing, wine was delicious, & company the best!!! Would definitely highly recommend to anyone!!
