"La mia vita è legata al lago, è qui che ho le mie radici e dove sto bene. Sono una pittrice, il mio lavoro mi permette di gestire il tempo e la cucina è per me il mio secondo laboratorio, dove mi viene facile creare piatti anzichè quadri. I mie due figli, ormai grandi e mio marito sono stati coloro che mi hanno fatto esercitare e amare la cucina. Ospitare amici durante l'estate in giardino è stata l'occasione per capire che ricevere ospiti è un piacere e un arricchimento personale. Gli ingredienti delle mie ricette sono tutti genuini, da produttori locali:  il miele, il formaggio, il pesce, direttamente dal pescatore a Dervio, e le verdure del mio orto che mio marito cura con passione da molti anni. La nostra casa è un po' come le case di una volta, il camino e la stufa ci permettono di riscaldarci e di cucinare a legna, e devo dire che il risultato dei piatti cucinati sulla stufa legna è molto buono. Anche nel giardino abbiamo una cucina e, in estate, prepariamo, cuciniamo e mangiamo sempre all'aperto."

I can’t imagine a more pleasant afternoon than the one we spent with Patrizia and Luca! They helped transport us from our modern, mechanized, rushed day-to-day lives to a simpler, slower, more fully alive time and place. From their warm greeting, to sharing the history of their 900 year old home and village, to meeting their local butcher, dairy owner and beekeeper, and sampling their wares and absorbing their stories, to the pleasure of learning to cook and appreciate the foods and methods handed down to Patrizia from her ancestors…this was a day to savor life. We made lifelong memories and friends today. And getting to enjoy our meal 1000 feet above, and with a perfect view of, glistening Lake Como with the warm sun on our faces while immersing ourselves in conversation with our delightful hosts? We had the most amazing time with Patrizia and Luca at their lovely home. The dinner was amazing and tasted delicious. It was like visiting old friends. Patrizia had all the ingredients ready to go for the class as soon as we got to the home. Their place was clean and beautiful view. We already recommended several friends back home to do this cooking class. It was truly the highlight of our trip. We have gained so much knowledge and made good friends in the process. This is our second visit to Lake Como Region. We will definitely do this course again on our next visit. Thank you for everything Patrizia.

What a marvelous experience with Patrizia and Luca and one that we would highly recommend. From the switchback ride going higher and higher above the lake to the closing hugs after hours of fun and merriment, all four in our party raved about the hosts, the food and wine to making fresh pasta/tiramisu, to the incredible views for dinner outside. We laughed, we learned, and we made new friends. We would have them in our homes and return the hospitality we were shown from this beautiful couple who love hosting and sharing their knowledge of this part of the world. A genuine couple with whom we had a genuinely great experience. And leftovers!

We had the most amazing evening with Patrizia and Luca. They welcomed us into their beautiful mountain home, taught us how to make authentic Italian food and were great hosts. We learnt so much about them and the area. Looking forward to visiting them again in the future, as friends, not guests.

We had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with Patrizia and Luca with their Pasta and Tiramisu master class. For my partner and myself this was a true highlight of our time in lake como. Patrizia and Luca were extremely accommodating in their home and for us visiting the area. Not only was the food AMAZING! we left learning something and with a passion to continue this cooking. The area is absolutely breathtaking, and the lunch here was a once in a lifetime experience!

Patrizia ran a masterclass for focaccia, pizza and tiramisu. The class was a birthday surprise for my husband and it turned out amazing. Patrizia and her husband were perfect teachers and hosts giving us a wonderful experience and a delicious lunch. We got to keep the dough we made and made our own pizza a couple of days later. We got an authentic Italian experience with lovely conversation about Italian food culture. We would highly recommend Patrizia.

An evening with Patrizia and Luca is an experience you cannot miss. This lovely couple simply offers you a visit into authentic Italian living We sat in their cosy garden enjoying the spectacular view of Lake Como and the classical stone houses while watching Luca harvest tomatoes in his vegetable garden. Luca joked, that Patrizia’s food tastes fantastic because his vegetables “are grown with love, not just water”. But it was Patrizia’s skills that transformed the homegrown ingredients into delicious food. She told us about the history behind the recipes such as the pizzoccheri, which her Nonna (grandmother) taught her how to make. We also had a wide range of delicious cold antipasti and a pesto lasagna to die for with thirteen! layers of homemade pasta. Finally, Patrizia showed us how to make tiramisu and how she cared for a “lievito madre” (sour dough) for baking pizzas and focaccia. If possible, we’ll come back :-)

We had a group of 8 family and friends take part in the classic cooking class! We enjoyed learning some local recipes--- including a tiramisu that all of us agreed was the BEST we've had ever- in Italian restaurants or at home in the US. Our youngest in the group (9) possibly had the most fun - making and tasting tiramisu, making pasta, with our wonderful friendly and welcoming hosts with food freshly picked from their on-site garden. The views we had while eating dinner all together was nothing short of amazing, overlooking the valley not too far from Lake Como. This was a great authentic and intimate experience coming in the northern Italian kitchen. We had so much fun and highly recommend booking a class - we will talk about and remember this for years to come, thank you for the experience!!
