Food Tour: discover the best places where to taste the finest local food & wine

Shared Experience
Your experience

Live a memorable day in the countryside with a farm tour and discover the secrets of rural life. We'll start by exploring the farm and meeting the animals, making this a perfect activity for families and children. You'll taste local specialties such as artisanal cheeses, salami, and honey. After the tour, we’ll return to my home for a traditional cooking class, where I’ll guide you step by step: we’ll prepare a bruschetta with typical local ingredients as a starter, followed by a handmade fresh pasta dish—like ravioli or tagliatelle—with a seasonal sauce, and finish with tiramisù, a classic dessert of Italian cuisine. A special opportunity to rediscover genuine flavors and create new memories together.

I can’t recommend this cooking class highly enough—it was truly the highlight of my trip to Italy! From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were welcomed into someone’s home rather than just a classroom. Our host was warm, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable, sharing not just recipes but also little family stories and traditions that made the whole experience feel so authentic.

We had the most wonderful cooking class experience with Patrizia! She so kindly welcomed us into her lovely home in Bellano, and we learned so many great tips for making lasagna and tiramisu at home - we are inspired to go home and make it for our friends and family. Patrizia was so welcoming, this was a highlight of our entire trip to Lake Como!

Patrizia and Luca were wonderful. They made our crazy family feel like part of their family. It was such a wonderful experience and they have a lovely home with an incredible view. I can’t recommend this experience with them enough. Patricia‘s recipes are all family recipes that she teaches you to make the way she learned from generations past. Nothing was beyond complication, and she helped every step of the way when needed. Let’s not forget how delicious the food itself was. We will definitely be making those recipes once we’re back home.

Patrizia is warm and welcoming from the moment you arrive. She instantly made us feel at home, and her thoughtful attention to detail made the experience truly special. Cooking together in her beautiful kitchen was such a joy — learning to make fresh pasta by hand was fun, hands-on, and something our whole family loved. The food we prepared was absolutely delicious! We also really enjoyed spending time in her lovely garden, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. It was the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the meal we had just created. A special highlight was chatting with Patrizia’s husband, Luca, who shared wonderful stories and gave us an even deeper appreciation for local life and traditions. This wasn’t just a cooking class — it was a meaningful, authentic experience that gave us a true taste of Italy, both in flavor and in spirit. We’ll never forget it. 100% recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Patrizia is warm and welcoming from our first interaction. She is super helpful and thoughtful. We loved our cooking experience and being welcomed into Patrizia’s garden and home. Making the pasta was so much fun and it was delicious! The views over the lake from the garden are truly magnificent. 100% recommend the experience to everyone!

"My life is tied to the lake, this is where I have my roots and where I’m fine. I am a painter, my work allows me to manage time and the kitchen is for me my second workshop, where I can easily create dishes instead of paintings. My two children, now grown up and my husband were those who made me practice and love cooking. Hosting friends during the summer in the garden was an opportunity to understand that receiving guests is a pleasure and a personal enrichment. The ingredients of my recipes are all genuine, from local producers:  honey, cheese, fish, directly from the fisherman in Dervio, and vegetables from my garden that my husband cares with passion for many years. Our house is a bit like the houses of the past, the fireplace and the stove allow us to warm up and cook with wood, and I must say that the result of the dishes cooked on the wood stove is very good. Also in the garden we have a kitchen and, in summer, we prepare, cook and always eat outdoors."
