Food Tour: discover the best places where to taste the finest local food & wine

Shared Experience
Your experience

Live a memorable day in the countryside with a farm tour and discover the secrets of rural life. We'll start by exploring the farm and meeting the animals, making this a perfect activity for families and children. You'll taste local specialties such as artisanal cheeses, salami, and honey. After the tour, we’ll return to my home for a traditional cooking class, where I’ll guide you step by step: we’ll prepare a bruschetta with typical local ingredients as a starter, followed by a handmade fresh pasta dish—like ravioli or tagliatelle—with a seasonal sauce, and finish with tiramisù, a classic dessert of Italian cuisine. A special opportunity to rediscover genuine flavors and create new memories together.

Patrizia is warm and welcoming from our first interaction. She is super helpful and thoughtful. We loved our cooking experience and being welcomed into Patrizia’s garden and home. Making the pasta was so much fun and it was delicious! The views over the lake from the garden are truly magnificent. 100% recommend the experience to everyone!

Taking Patrizia’s cooking class was an absolute highlight of our time in Lake Como. From the moment we arrived at her beautiful mountain home, perched high above the lake with panoramic views, we knew we were in for something special. Her home is nestled in a charming, authentic Italian mountain village that feels untouched by time. The setting alone is worth the visit — sweeping views of Lake Como below and the peaceful silence of the surrounding hills. What makes this experience so exceptional is Patrizia herself. Warm, welcoming, and incredibly passionate about food, she opened up her kitchen — and her heart — to us. We started with a walk through her lush garden, where she grows nearly everything she cooks with: vibrant tomatoes, fragrant herbs, zucchini blossoms, fresh lettuces, and more. You can truly taste the difference that fresh, home-grown ingredients make. The recipes we learned were simple, traditional, and full of flavor — the kind of food you dream of when you think of Italy. Patrizia guided us through each step with patience and joy, making it approachable even for beginners. It felt like we were cooking with a dear friend. The class was intimate, with just a few of us around the kitchen table, sharing stories, sipping wine, and laughing while we cooked. And when we finally sat down to eat — with the sun setting over the lake and the mountains glowing in golden light — it was nothing short of magical. If you’re looking for a truly local, heartfelt experience that captures the essence of Italian hospitality, Patrizia’s cooking class is not to be missed. It’s more than just a class — it’s a memory that stays with you long after the last bite.

The Absolute Highlight of Our Trip to Italy! If you are even considering taking a cooking class in Italy—do not miss this one with Patrizia. It was hands-down the highlight of our entire trip. From the moment we stepped into her beautiful home, nestled among a lush vegetable garden with views that truly take your breath away, we knew we were in for something special. Patrizia is not only a phenomenal cook but an incredibly warm and generous host. She taught us how to make two types of pasta completely from scratch, and walked us through the magic of creating a tiramisu so simple, yet so unforgettable that I genuinely cannot wait to recreate it at home. The flavors were exquisite—pure, fresh, and deeply satisfying. She went above and beyond at every step. While we cooked, she served us a gorgeous Italian Pinot Noir and the most delightful focaccia to snack on (baked by her, of course). She brought out a selection of cheeses, shared her homemade pesto, and even prepared a tomato sauce for our pasta using her personal stash of tomatoes—just tomatoes, nothing else, and it was divine. Every ingredient had a story, often one that began in her own garden. And when the meal was ready, we sat down at her outdoor dining table overlooking the hills, soaking in the golden evening light—it was truly postcard-perfect. To top it all off, Patrizia sent us beautifully written recipes afterwards, and even gave us thoughtful restaurant advice for our next day's trip to Milan. Her kindness, expertise, and passion for food made this an unforgettable experience. If you love Italian food, genuine hospitality, and unforgettable memories—this is the experience for you. Thank you, Patrizia! 💫🇮🇹🍷🍝

We had a great day and wonderful evening all thanks to Patrizia’s help and advice, starting from us reaching her home from Como to things to do around Bellano before we arrived. For the meal, Patrizia prepared a delicious authentic Italian main dish of fresh pasta and pesto sauce from scratch, with our son, whilst he practiced his Italian! All the while my husband and I relaxed with a glass of wine and enjoyed the wonderful views from her beautiful home and listened to family stories from Luca. The only thing we would have loved some fish incorporated in the meal as we had said we were pescatarian. Non the less all four dishes were amazing and delicious We felt at home with friends! It was a truly magical experience and highly recommend!! Thank you so much xx

Fantastic experience with Patrizia and Luca. Wonderful hosts. Patrizia spent time explaining the fresh ingredients we purchased at a local farm for our meal. She was terrific showing us how to make a wonderful local pasta dish & tiramisu. We enjoyed the food and their company - had a lot of laughs. A+ experience. Highly recommend!

"My life is tied to the lake, this is where I have my roots and where I’m fine. I am a painter, my work allows me to manage time and the kitchen is for me my second workshop, where I can easily create dishes instead of paintings. My two children, now grown up and my husband were those who made me practice and love cooking. Hosting friends during the summer in the garden was an opportunity to understand that receiving guests is a pleasure and a personal enrichment. The ingredients of my recipes are all genuine, from local producers:  honey, cheese, fish, directly from the fisherman in Dervio, and vegetables from my garden that my husband cares with passion for many years. Our house is a bit like the houses of the past, the fireplace and the stove allow us to warm up and cook with wood, and I must say that the result of the dishes cooked on the wood stove is very good. Also in the garden we have a kitchen and, in summer, we prepare, cook and always eat outdoors."
