Hi from Patrizia!

"My life is tied to the lake, this is where I have my roots and where I’m fine. I am a painter, my work allows me to manage time and the kitchen is for me my second workshop, where I can easily create dishes instead of paintings. My two children, now grown up and my husband were those who made me practice and love cooking. Hosting friends during the summer in the garden was an opportunity to understand that receiving guests is a pleasure and a personal enrichment. The ingredients of my recipes are all genuine, from local producers:  honey, cheese, fish, directly from the fisherman in Dervio, and vegetables from my garden that my husband cares with passion for many years. Our house is a bit like the houses of the past, the fireplace and the stove allow us to warm up and cook with wood, and I must say that the result of the dishes cooked on the wood stove is very good. Also in the garden we have a kitchen and, in summer, we prepare, cook and always eat outdoors."

Such a lovely evening with Patrizia (and her husband Luca)! My family loved learning to make bruschetta, fresh pasta, ricotta cheese, and tiramisu. We were impressed by the simplicity of the ingredients— and how wonderful everything tasted. Such an amazing, memorable addition to our time in Italy. And the view from their backyard, high up in the mountains looking out over Lake Como, was stunning. Thank you for a wonderful evening that we will always remember!

We had the best evening with Patrizia - it was truly the highlight of our trip! At her beautiful home, she taught my kids (and us) how to make the most delicious dinner of focaccia, homemade pasta and tiramisu. We then got to enjoy the meal together in her beautiful garden overlooking the lake. Patrizia even showed my kids around her garden and let them pick strawberries. The most memorable experience - thank you Patrizia! We can't wait to return and do another Cesarine cooking class. I am also a travel advisor (The Cobblestone Traveler) and will be setting up these experiences for my clients!

Such a wonderful class/experience with Patrizia! Her home is so wonderful and inviting! Absolutely loved cooking in her kitchen using local/fresh ingredients from the area and Luca’s garden! We ate outside with a beautiful view of the lake! The food was as wonderful as the conversation/hospitality of Patrizia and Luca! This is a must do!!
