Hi from Patrizia!

"My life is tied to the lake, this is where I have my roots and where I’m fine. I am a painter, my work allows me to manage time and the kitchen is for me my second workshop, where I can easily create dishes instead of paintings. My two children, now grown up and my husband were those who made me practice and love cooking. Hosting friends during the summer in the garden was an opportunity to understand that receiving guests is a pleasure and a personal enrichment. The ingredients of my recipes are all genuine, from local producers:  honey, cheese, fish, directly from the fisherman in Dervio, and vegetables from my garden that my husband cares with passion for many years. Our house is a bit like the houses of the past, the fireplace and the stove allow us to warm up and cook with wood, and I must say that the result of the dishes cooked on the wood stove is very good. Also in the garden we have a kitchen and, in summer, we prepare, cook and always eat outdoors."

Patrizia was absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed our cooking class so much and the Al fresco dining view from her garden was fantastic! Highly recommend.

My husband and I, along with our two children and their spouses, booked a cooking class with Patrizia. This was an experience that we will treasure forever. Beforehand, Patrizia communicated with me regarding transportation to her home, and I communicated regarding our daughter's gluten intolerance. Patrizia made GF pasta for our daughter, in addition to having other GF ingredients for use. While creating pasta and tiramisu, we engaged in delightful conversation with Patrizia and her husband Luca. Our daughter had studied Italian while in college, and Luca spoke with her in Italian while encouraging her to practice her skills while in Italy...which she did for the remainder of our trip! Our meal was served on a tablecloth hand embroidered by Patrizia's grandmother. The food was beyond delicious! We cannot thank Patrizia enough for her kindness and skill. Grazie Patrizia!

From the moment we arrived, Patrizia and Luca made us feel completely at home. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do, they turned this cooking class into one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. The setting was nothing short of breathtaking – stunning views that added a magical touch to the entire evening. The class itself was incredibly well-organized and hands-on. We learned so much, but never felt rushed or overwhelmed. Patrizia and Luca patiently guided us through each step, sharing their knowledge with such joy and authenticity that it was impossible not to be inspired. The recipes were not only delicious but easy to recreate at home – a true gift we’ll continue to enjoy long after the trip. What truly made this experience stand out was the warmth and hospitality of our hosts. It felt less like a class and more like spending the afternoon with old friends, cooking, laughing, and sharing stories over a delicious meal we made together. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a genuine, enriching, and absolutely delightful experience. Grazie mille, Patrizia and Luca – we’ll cherish this memory forever!

My wife and I had the best time at Patrizia's cooking class! Patrizia and her husband were very welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. Their beautiful home has great views of Lake Como and they welcomed us in as if we had been long time friends. Patrizia had a great set up for the class, with everyone getting adequate experience with every step of everything we cooked. With her cooking knowledge she was able to provide us with exactly the experience we were hoping for! Her husband was also very friendly and kept the appetizers coming and wine flowing. They made for great conversationalists and the food we made was delicious - I hope to be able to recreate it at home. If I were to come back I would book with Patrizia again!

We spent the evening cooking with Patrizia and her husband, and it was easily our favorite experience on our trip to Lario (aka Lake Como). The couple generously welcomed us into their home, and shared not only their cooking expertise but also their first class hospitality replete with personal stories and a telling of the history of their region (not to mention a 1000 Flower honey paired with prosciutto and cheese aperitivos and copious wine pours). We made tiramisu, tortelloni (~not~ to be confused with tortellini), and tagliatelle. My wife and I are very excited to bring these recipes home to share with our family. We cannot wait to return to learn some new dishes and get to know our hosts better. I with the rating scale had more stars because we would add them! 1000/10.
