If you don't like gluten, you can't help but appreciate the goodness of pizzoccheri, a product that symbolizes our local cuisine. The recipe for this handmade pasta has been handed down from generation to generation. With local ingredients, gluten-free buckwheat flour, casera cheese, vegetables, and secrets that I will be happy to explain to you during the cooking class, we will serve this delicious dish.

Discover the recipe for tiramisu, with a trilogy of variations: coffee, fruit, pistachio, and chocolate. The most desired dessert in the world with increasingly delicious ideas and flavors. Enjoy a delicious dinner in the garden during the long summer evenings, as the sun sets behind the mountains.

We had the incredible opportunity to learn how to make authentic Italian pasta, tortellini, and tiramisu from a third-generation Italian chef, with the help of her husband. Who knew you could create such delicious homemade pasta with just one egg and a small scoop of flour? I'll never forget the experience of making fresh pasta from such simple ingredients. As amazing as the food turned out, that wasn't even the best part of the experience. I expected the class to be held in a restaurant or a rented cooking space, but instead, we were welcomed into the kitchen of a local Italian couple. It made the experience feel so much more personal and authentic. Luca and Patrizia not only taught us how Italians prepare a meal from scratch, but also gave us a glimpse into everyday Italian family life. Their warmth, generosity, and hospitality made us feel like honored guests in their home. It was both educational and heartwarming. I highly recommend this unique experience to anyone looking for an authentic taste of Italian culture and cuisine. It's a memory we'll treasure for years to come. One note, their home is about 20 min. drive from the Verenna Ferry. Drive or pre-arrange a driver there and back (~40 euros each way)

Our cooking class with Patrizia was one of the absolute highlights of our trip. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel welcomed into her home in the most genuine and authentic way. She is an amazing person, a wonderful teacher, and an incredible cook. The food was honestly some of the best we have had in Italy. Everything felt homemade, thoughtful, and full of love. Learning to make pasta and tiramisu with her was so much more than just a class. It felt like a real Italian experience with someone who truly cares about sharing her culture and her food. Patrizia was patient, warm, funny, and made the whole evening feel special. This is the kind of experience we will never forget. I cannot recommend it enough. If you are anywhere near Lake Como, you should absolutely do this.

Patrizia was an amazing host, she was very patient, kind, and accommodating! We made ravioli, tortelloni, and tiramisu, and we can’t wait to make the recipes again at home. Her house also has an incredible view of the lake and surrounding area, and has a great garden where she grew many of the ingredients for the meal. I would absolutely book a class with her again!

We had such a wonderful experience in our pasta making class in Bellano. Patrizia welcomed our family of five into her beautiful home, and offered us homemade focaccia and wine and then taught us to make tiramisu and two types of pasta - tortelloni and tagliatelle - and two different sauces to go with them.. We then sat in her lovely garden for a delicious feast of our labors. Patrizia made it seem so easy we were inspired to start making our own pasta at home once we returned to the states. Highly recommend this class. We absolutely loved it.

We had an absolutely delightful evening at Patrizia’s and Lucca’s house. They were extremely welcoming and friendly and we had great conversations all evening. The food was delicious (focasia was the best!) and the setting in the yard overlooking the lake was incredible. Would highly recommend the experience.

"My life is tied to the lake, this is where I have my roots and where I’m fine. I am a painter, my work allows me to manage time and the kitchen is for me my second workshop, where I can easily create dishes instead of paintings. My two children, now grown up and my husband were those who made me practice and love cooking. Hosting friends during the summer in the garden was an opportunity to understand that receiving guests is a pleasure and a personal enrichment. The ingredients of my recipes are all genuine, from local producers:  honey, cheese, fish, directly from the fisherman in Dervio, and vegetables from my garden that my husband cares with passion for many years. Our house is a bit like the houses of the past, the fireplace and the stove allow us to warm up and cook with wood, and I must say that the result of the dishes cooked on the wood stove is very good. Also in the garden we have a kitchen and, in summer, we prepare, cook and always eat outdoors."
