We will meet at my home and from there head together to the Mandello market, an authentic place rich in local tradition. We’ll stroll among the traditional shops, discovering local products and stopping for small tastings of regional specialties, such as artisanal cheeses. During the visit, we’ll shop together for the fresh ingredients we’ll use during the cooking class.

Once the market tour is over, we’ll return home to begin our cooking class. Before getting our hands in the dough, I’ll offer you a welcome aperitif, then we’ll prepare a two-course menu together. We’ll make a first course of your choice—either homemade fresh pasta or a risotto made with ingredients purchased at the market—and we’ll end the experience by preparing tiramisù together.

Anna’s cooking class was the highlight of our Lake Como vacation!! She immediately made us feel at home as soon as we walked in. She was knowledgeable, welcoming, fun, and thorough. I really enjoyed learning about the nuances of making pasta, and all of the factors that can affect how it comes out. The food we made was perhaps our favorite meal on the trip! Chef by profession and for passion, Cesarina Annamaria has trained in the culinary arts in Italy and other parts of the world. "My cooking combines tradition, an eye on eating healthfully, careful attention to ingredients and a sense of lightness". Annamaria hosts us in her cozy and elegant house overlooking Lake Como. We are in Lierna, a small town full of history that dates back to ancient Rome. In this corner of paradise, immersed in quiet nature, we sample the wonderful delicacies prepared by Annamaria’s. Her recipes respect each season’s offerings and the local traditions, while focusing on creating a sense of lightness by carefully balancing the various ingredients.
