Your experience

Hello everyone, I am Andrea, a resident of Cagliari, and I would be happy to welcome you to my home to spend a pleasant evening dedicated to the discovery of Culurgiones, a traditional Sardinian dish. These delicious ravioli are stuffed with potatoes, cheese and aromas typical of our region. The dough of Culurgiones is prepared with water and remilled semolina flour, following the recipe handed down from generation to generation. After preparing them together, we will have the pleasure of tasting them, perhaps accompanied by a good glass of wine. It will be a special occasion to share our culinary culture and tradition, and to make new acquaintances in a cozy and convivial atmosphere.

I look forward to seeing you for this evening of good food.

We were so happy with our cooking class with Andrea and his daughter, Frederica! We also met his daughter, Flavia, who was so sweet! It was such an authentic experience to cook and dine in their home. They were so warm and welcoming to us! Frederica even drove us to the bus stop after our class. So happy we decided to book this excursion while staying in Cagliari!

We had a lovely night at the family home of Andrea! The family was very welcoming and we had such interesting conversations. The food was delicious and we were the only guests, so it was a very personal experience. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

We were welcomed into Andrea and Lilla’s home with warmth and friendliness. To open their home and share their love of cooking was wonderful. We met both their daughters whonwere both studying very hard at school and university. We enjoyed learning how to make culurgiones, certainly an art to closing them. Sitting at the family table and feeling part of the family while we all ate and exchanged stories about our children, animals and life in general. Thank you for a wonderful last day in Sardegna.

A fantastic experience. Would highly recommend for those looking to get off the beaten track. A beautiful and warm family who will make you feel right at home. The food and wine is amazing, and the cooking experience is authentic and fun. If you are on a cruise you do need to consider it is 35 minutes from the cruise port and take this into consideration when organising a time for the activity. The family was even helpful and assisted us to organise a taxi back to Port.

Andrea's house is located on the coast of Quartu S. Elena, quiet in winter and sparkling in summer, as it is a seaside area and very popular with tourists because of the enchanting places to visit along the coast. A few kilometers from here there are fantastic beaches, known all over the world, but also landscapes surrounded by nature. "I have lived in Sardinia for 35 years so I also feel a bit of a local, I have always loved cooking and I bring Mediterranean cuisine to the table having acquired and experimented with the recipes of the places I frequent. In my kitchen you can taste both local cuisine both those from Calabria, Campania and Sicily with a reinterpretation of the same: the Mediterranean and the color in my dishes are never lacking!"
