Cooking class: learn how to cook traditional & innovative Italian recipes from a local Cesarina

Shared Experience
Your experience
  • Homemade bread

I look forward to welcoming you into my kitchen for a lesson dedicated to the art of handmade bread. Together we’ll prepare a remarkable loaf which, as it bakes, puffs up until it turns into a real ‘balloon’: a little spectacle of traditional technique and magic. I’ll guide you step by step to discover the secrets of the dough and the proving process, so you can recreate it at home too. Once ready, you can fill the bread with selected ingredients, creating whatever combination you prefer. The experience will be accompanied by a glass of wine, delicious tastings and a convivial atmosphere – perfect for relaxing, chatting and sharing the pleasure of good food. No cooking experience is necessary: all you need is the desire to have fun and get your hands dirty!

We had such a wonderful time with this lovely Italian family! From the moment we arrived until the end of dinner, we felt like we were truly part of their family.

Francisca, Amy and I had a fantastic time learning the art of authentic Italian cooking with you. Your home exuded warmth, laughter, and a passion for sharing your expertise, thank you. It will be an experience to last a lifetime. Much Love.

We had such a lovely evening with Francesca and her incredibly kind, helpful assistants. We made excellent gnocchi, which we’re definitely going to try to recreate at home, and the apple pastries were just delicious, especially with her homemade jam. Francesca makes so many things from scratch; the whole experience really reminded me of my mom. Thank you for everything, Francesca. We’ll be telling our grandkids all about you!

An unforgettable evening with Francesca and her family in Civitavecchia. From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of the family. Francesca welcomed us with warmth, laughter, and incredible food. Every dish was made with love and local ingredients. The stories she shared brought the recipes to life, and the setting among olive trees made everything magical. It wasn’t just a cooking class; it was a real Italian experience that touched our hearts. We left with full stomachs, new friends, and beautiful memories. Truly grateful for all of this!

Hi, I'm Francesca! Originally from Naples but now living in Rome, I welcome my guests to a villa nestled among olive and fruit trees in the countryside of Civitavecchia. "Those who cook with love nourish more than just the body" – this philosophy guides every dish I prepare. Together, we’ll share the joy of picking vegetables from the garden, while discovering stories and traditions dating back to the early 1900s, offering a unique and authentic experience.
