    Pittule are a traditional Salento folk dish. They are simple to make but require some attentions for their success: right proportion of the ingredients, manuality in mixing dough, wisdom in frying.

    During this day in Villa Urso we will offer several variations of them: classic, pizzaiola, with seasonal vegetables, with anchovies, honey or vincotto.

    Great hospitality, amazing food, breathtaking location. Carlo helped us reaching their wonderful house in the countryside near Lecce. Their place is cozy and with a charming garden to sit for dinner which seems like a fairytale. Giusy taught us how to make her own version of tiramisù and shared great tips to master it. Together they explained and let us try to make homemade tagliatelle with a courgette sauce. It was incredibly fun! Giusy and Carlo told us a bit of their life story and it felt like being at the house of our own grandparents. We would have wished to stay longer to chat, but we will definetly come back and perhaps staying their B&B. If you are in Lecce, come and visit them!

    MUST DO EXPERIENCE while in Lecce. Carlo and Giusy were so kind and warm, and so generous welcoming us in to their beautiful home. It is such an amazing experience watching them both cook and learning from them. The food was so delicious, and so lovely eating in their gorgeous courtyard. Would recommend this experience. 10/10!     A more than a five star rating cooking class! We had a lovely time with Carlo and Giusy who made us feel right at home. In their beautiful characteristic summer house, we made various kinds of pasta and Giusy’s own tiramisu (including chef's three secrets). Carlo also made a delicious dish of eggplant, tomato, smoked cheese, and Parmesan cheese, baked in the oven. We enjoyed all this delicious food in their lovely courtyard garden. We savored the great company and the wonderful food. Highly recommended!!

    "We live in an area rich in excellent raw materials, which is why we can afford to always be creative in the food shopping we do. Since we stopped working, we moved to the countryside in a family house built in 1800, where we have a rich orchard and we have fun preparing organic jams of all tastes. In winter we use the dining room, while in summer we organize dinners in the large garden."
