Authentic fresh pasta made from scratch: you will learn how to create the classic orecchiette from Puglia, the twisted 'sagne 'ncannulate,' or maccheroni (your choice). Before we get our hands on the dough, we will enjoy an aperitif in the garden with Salento's pittule (soft, deep-fried leavened dough balls), eggplant parmigiana, and croquettes. All accompanied by fine local wine. The tiramisu will be the classic one, with mascarpone cream, ladyfingers, and coffee brewed in the traditional moka pot. We will conclude our gathering with a refreshing homemade limoncello.

We had a great evening with Lidia and her family. They were very warm and welcoming. They involved us in the preparation of a delicious meal and we enjoyed it along with homemade limoncello in their lovely garden. It was a perfect southern Italian evening!

It was the best Italian experience you could wish for. Lidia and her family were amazing. We had so much fun learning how to cook and seeing the master herself in action. The food itself was amazing, and definitely best tiramisu we have ever tried. It was so lovely to have lunch with the family. And homemade limoncello is just another unforgettable small part! My family's cooking class with Lidia was fantastic -- a highlight of our trip to Otranto. She and her daughter welcomed us into her home and got us all cooking right away -- and was especially good at making my 7 year old feel empowered to participate and comfortable doing so. Lidia was so warm and generous, and we learned a ton -- skills we will definitely use again: from the detailed order or seasoning eggplant parmesan, to how to make two kinds of pasta by hand, make tiramisu, fritters -- it was a delight! The beautiful lunch in her garden after cooking all morning was amazing. Highly recommend!

I felt welcome, at ease and comfortable to visit Lidia's wonderful home and to meet her family. It was wonderful to see and be involved in making tiramisu and pasta. I have never done this before, so it was a completely new experience and Lidia was amazing with her instructions, guidance and support. Her family helped explain the cooking process, and the four courses were all amazing. I was blown away with the quality of the food and cooking. A really amazing experience that I will cherish.
