This meeting includes a visit to the market and a brief exploration of the city. I will be your guide through the main squares and places of interest, before we head to the market to select ingredients for our lunch. You will collaborate with me in preparing the meal in my charming historic home, and we will have the pleasure of enjoying the dishes in my charming garden on a pleasant day or in the spacious kitchen. I look forward to welcoming you!

- Words cannot describe how amazing our time with Ivan truly was. The food, wine, and hands on cooking was the experience of a lifetime for me and my family. The greatest thing however was Ivan’s warm personality, kindness, and him being a man who values his family and guests. The pesto was out of this world and overall it was stellar! Thank you again!!
- An amazing experience! Ivan and his family were amazing hosts. We learned how to make pesto traditionally and gnocchi as well. He has everyone engaged in helping make the dishes and then treated us to a beautiful lunch on his home in the garden area. There were 4 courses total, each was exceptional. What a wonderful experience sharing a meal with folks from around the world and having someone open their home for us to experience. I cannot recommend this enough - a must do if you are near Rapallo area!
- Fantastic! Do not miss the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful experience with Ivan! We were so fortunate to spend an afternoon with Ivan and his friend Carla, as well as his wife Paola, and son Federico. Ivan showed us how to prepare several Ligurian dishes in their gorgeous 15th century home, which we enjoyed for lunch with some delightful wine from sommelier Paola’s beautiful Enoteca “Monna Bianca”. (Also very much worth a visit!) Highly recommend. We will return to Ivan for another experience on our next trip to Italy!
- Absolutely fabulous lunchtime experience. What a fantastic meal, beautiful house and most importantly, wonderful company. Ivan is a really great teacher and to top it all off his wife Paola runs the wine shop ‘Monna Bianca’ (via Dante, 56) below the apartment.
- Cooking with Ivan was the best part of our trip. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary as well as my wife's 60th birthday in Italy. Ivan puled out all the stops and make a birthday cake that was so meaningful and also delicious too. The whole experience will become a memory that we will keep forever. I would have given the experience 6+ stars.
