We booked a private cooking class with Cesarina Anna at her home in Cernobbio for the first day of our wedding festivities, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to begin the weekend. From the moment we arrived, Anna, her family, and friends made us feel so welcome in her beautiful home. We spent the afternoon learning to make traditional Italian dishes, taking in the gorgeous views, and then sitting down together to enjoy everything we had made. It felt warm, relaxed, and so genuinely Italian. What we loved most was seeing all of our guests cooking, eating, drinking, and laughing together. It was exactly the kind of experience we had hoped to share with everyone and set such a wonderful tone for the rest of our wedding weekend. We booked this cooking class while celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary on the Amalfi Coast, and it turned out to be the single best, most memorable meal of the entire trip!! Rocco and Carla welcomed us like family and taught us their own generational recipes, passed down through the family, using ingredients they grow themselves!! There's something special about cooking with produce picked that same morning — you could taste the difference in every dish!! The whole experience felt less like a class and more like being invited into their home… We laughed, learned techniques we'll use for years, and then sat down to enjoy everything we'd made together, paired with their homemade grappa and wine!!! What a special experience. It was amazing to cook and to be welcomed into Caterina’s home. Love every second of learning how to make proper lasagne - learning why the lasagne must be green in Bologna. The lasagne was amazing - something I will continue to cook back home in Australia. Frequently asked questions
How does the Cesarine Gift Card work?
Choose the amount for the Gift Card by selecting one of the preset options or entering the amount you prefer. You can personalize the Gift Card by selecting a theme and adding a message for the gift recipient.
Then, proceed with the purchase: once the payment is completed, you’ll receive an email with the Gift Card attached. If you wish, you can also email the Gift Card directly to the recipient from the purchase confirmation page.
What are the minimum and maximum amounts?
From €50 to €500. Pick one of the preset amounts — €50, €100 or €200 — or type any figure you like within those limits.
When does the Gift Card arrive? Can I schedule the delivery?
The Gift Card arrives by email within minutes of payment, attached as a PDF. There is no scheduled delivery: it comes to you and you forward it whenever you like, Christmas morning included. From the order confirmation page you can also have it sent straight to the recipient's email address.
Do I need an account to buy or use the Gift Card?
To complete the purchase, yes: the checkout asks you to sign in or register. To use it, no: the recipient can book their experience as a guest, entering the code at payment.
How to book after purchasing the Gift Card?
You can use the Gift Card to purchase any experience on cesarine.com with a value equal to or greater than that of the card. After selecting the experience, simply enter the Gift Card code in the “Promo Code” field in the cart and click “Apply”: the Gift Card value will be deducted from the total amount. For any questions, visit help.cesarine.com.
Do I have to spend the whole amount at once?
Yes: the Gift Card is used on a single booking and in full — it leaves no balance to spend later. So pick an experience that costs at least as much as the Gift Card; if it costs more, you only pay the difference.
Can I use two Gift Cards on the same booking?
No: one Gift Card per booking.
How long is the Gift Card valid?
The Gift Card will be active for one year from the date of purchase. The expiry date is printed on the Gift Card PDF, along with the amount.
What language does the Gift Card come in?
You choose it when you buy — Italian, English, Spanish, French or German. The card and the instructions for using it arrive in the language you picked.
Can I print the Gift Card?
Yes — it is a PDF. Print it and hand it over, or forward the email as it is.
Are Gift Cards refundable?
No, Gift Cards are non-refundable.
If I cancel the booking, do I lose the Gift Card?
No. If a booking paid with the Gift Card is cancelled, the Gift Card becomes active again and can be used for another experience.
