You only choose the amount and the occasion. Everything else — which experience, in which city, with whom, when — is decided by whoever receives the gift.

I felt so delighted to learn the cooking magic guided by the queen of tortellini, the amazing chef Lucia! She opened her doors into her house and taught us all the intricacies of making pasta from the scratch. It was sooo delicious! And the vibe of her home and Italian culture made the experience truly unforgettable. Must do in Bologna! 💖🥰🥰

Jan, Christy and I signed up for a Cesarine cooking class in English and Federica was our gracious host and chef instructor. Besides us three Americans, we were joined by two other Americans, Duane and Elisa. From the start, the experience was magical. Everyone clicked well, like old friends making a meal together. Federica was so warm and friendly and in no time, we were all getting to know one another while making tiramisu, the cheese filling for cappelletti (a larger tortelloni) and the pasta for the cappelletti and tagiatelle. Federica gave good, clear instructions in English and allowed us to pretty much make everything though she watched over us and gave guidance whenever it was needed. Afterwards we sat down to eat our creations. This was such a fun experience and one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. I highly recommend Federica as our host and chef teacher. It was an honor to learn some authentic Italian specialties from her.

We had a delicious time with Giovanna, who gave us a warm welcome in her large kitchen. The whole family was able to participate in making the lasagna dough; the children loved it! And the meal that followed was a real treat 😉

The cooking class was one of the highlights of our holiday to Italy! Laura and Ettore created the most relaxed environment to learn how to cook Italian food, where we did nothing but laugh. The food was absolutely gorgeous and there was so so much of it! Highly recommend this to be on anyone’s to do list that is visiting the area!
